Good-price Korean BBQ with radish wraps in Noryangjin: Naengsam Hanok
In short
Naengsam Hanok (냉삼한옥) is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Noryangjin, Dongjak-gu, Seoul, serving frozen pork belly, thinly shaved daepae pork belly and beef brisket, and Naver lists it as a "Good Price" business for its reasonable prices. After booking on Naver for a Monday evening, the writer ordered the 680g Set A with six cuts and enjoyed the complimentary steamed egg and doenjang (soybean paste) stew, honey butter seasoned potatoes, and minari and pickled radish wraps. For anyone who wants to eat plenty of meat with lots of vegetables, Naengsam Hanok is a great-value BBQ spot worth revisiting.

Naengsam Hanok Noryangjin: hours and location
Naengsam Hanok (냉삼한옥) Noryangjin branch is a BBQ restaurant on the 1st floor of 4 Manyang-ro 14da-gil, Dongjak-gu, Seoul, open every day from 4 PM to 12 AM.

This time I visited Naengsam Hanok in Noryangjin, Dongjak-gu, a hugely popular BBQ place. If you search on Naver, it even shows up as a "good price" restaurant, and the prices really are reasonable for what you get.
Is there a wait at Naengsam Hanok? Yes, even on Monday
There was a wait even on a Monday evening. We booked on Naver, so a table was held for us, but if we hadn't, we would have been waiting,,! The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff put us in a good mood from the moment we walked in.
Naengsam Hanok menu and self-serve bar
The menu has a really wide range: frozen pork belly (naengsam), frozen pork neck, beef belly, daepae (thin-sliced) pork belly and more, all clearly cheap at a glance. The tablet shows how to eat everything for the best flavor, which I liked, and there's a review event too, so it's worth joining. We ordered Set A, which has every kind of meat.
The self-serve bar is really well stocked. Minari (water dropwort), bracken, potatoes, zucchini, chili peppers, garlic, kimchi and all kinds of sauces were super easy to help ourselves to, which was great.
Set A (680g) contents
- Hanu-style pork belly 180g
- Gochujang (chili paste) pork belly 100g
- Frozen pork belly 100g
- Frozen pork neck 100g
- Beef belly 100g
- Daepae pork belly 100g
Set A (680g) is a varied, generous spread at first glance. They laid out a delicious-looking table full of different meats and vegetables.

Hanu-style pork belly / gochujang pork belly / frozen pork belly / frozen pork neck / beef belly / daepae pork belly, and so on: so many glossy, beautifully colored cuts.
They had pre-set a tempting grill plate with bracken, garlic, kimchi, minari, potatoes and more. I love eating lots of vegetables with my meat, so this Noryangjin BBQ spot is perfect for someone like me.
Honey butter potatoes: a little fun at the Naengsam Hanok table
Every table at Naengsam Hanok has honey butter seasoning and plain ground pepper. We started by grilling the rolled-up daepae pork belly and beef belly together, and yep, thin, good-quality meat cooks fast.
The honey butter seasoning was great sprinkled over the potatoes, and it seemed like a really good idea. With the plain pepper there too, you can season to taste, so we lightly sprinkled some on to mix things up.

You could feel the freshness of the ingredients and the meat just by looking. We started a really delicious, happy dinner.
First, even though the meat is thin, it was tender with no gamey smell and so good. With this quality at such a low price, it's no wonder the place is popular.

Naengsam Hanok side dishes: steamed egg and doenjang stew included
Steamed egg and doenjang stew come as standard at Naengsam Hanok. The side dishes and vegetables were fresh, great for wrapping ssam, and the radish wraps, lettuce and ssamjang (wrap sauce) all went together wonderfully.
And the steamed egg and stew just come standard,,,,, honestly, I don't think a deal could get more generous than this. The portions were hearty and so delicious too.

While waiting for the meat to cook, I sprinkled seasoning on thinly sliced potatoes and ate them, and they were so good as a beer snack.
Set A, cut by cut
Frozen pork neck: wide and perfect for radish-wrap ssam
I think it was my first time trying frozen pork neck. It cooked very evenly, and it's wide enough that you could wrap it with just vegetables.

It was so broad and big that I skipped the lettuce and wrapped it with bracken, minari and radish wrap. Tender and delicious, as expected.
Daepae pork belly: golden and cooks fast
The daepae pork belly was golden and tasty, and it grilled really quickly. Even with so many kinds of meat, the ones with a bit of bone were easy to recognize as pork belly, which I liked.

I couldn't pick a favorite, every cut was great, and it had been ages since I'd had daepae pork belly, so it tasted even better.

Hanu-style pork belly: thick and juicy
The Hanu-style pork belly in Set A is 180g. Among all the thin meats, you can't leave out a thick cut of pork belly. They grilled it golden and cut it into bite-size pieces for us.
Thick pork belly really is different. The juice filling my mouth made the quality obvious, and it was so good. This Noryangjin BBQ spot is officially approved!

Gochujang daepae pork belly: a match for lettuce wraps
I'd never tried the gochujang daepae pork belly before. It grilled just as well and seemed like it would be great with rice too.

As expected, it was great for wrapping with all kinds of vegetables, and since it's seasoned and salty, it felt especially well matched with lettuce wraps.
Honest review: would I return to Naengsam Hanok?
Naengsam Hanok was delicious overall, reasonably priced and really friendly, so I could immediately feel why it's famous as a Noryangjin BBQ spot. 1000% would come back!!!
If you're looking for cheap, generous, great-value daepae pork belly and naengsam BBQ with lots of side dishes in Noryangjin, Dongjak-gu, Seoul, go to Naengsam Hanok!
