Why I went to Enne Brain Spa in Sejong

Enne Brain Spa is a head spa on the 2nd floor of Building B, Parc Blanc, on Dasom-ro in Sejong, and it offers a "brain detox head spa" rather than ordinary scalp care. I had dyed and permed my hair within a short span, and my scalp had gotten sensitive 😫 I figured it was time for scalp care, searched around my neighborhood, and found Enne Brain Spa.

Brain detox instead of regular scalp care?! I was so curious that I booked it on my day off. I went for scalp care, and they loosen up your shoulders and back too?? It was a different kind of treatment from anything I've tried, and I loved it! Here's my review of what became my favorite treatment spot 👍🏻🌟

Enne Brain Spa hours, parking and booking

Enne Brain Spa is open Tue-Fri 07:00-21:00 and weekends 13:00-18:00, and closed every Monday. Parking is free, you book through Naver Booking, and the high oil price relief support funds (고유가피해지원금) can be used here.

Finding it: Parc Blanc Building B, 2nd floor

Enne Brain Spa is on the 2nd floor of Building B in Parc Blanc. If you park in the underground garage, use the area near the 20s pillars on the right, where there's an elevator close by.

If you come on foot like me, take the central elevator up, follow the hallway to the right, then turn right again and walk in.

Inside, the warm, cozy interior put me at ease right away.

Choosing oils with aroma cards

Before the treatment at Enne Brain Spa, you draw aroma cards to decide which aroma oils to use that day. The table was lined with a huge variety of aroma oils, and just like tarot cards, the aroma cards pick the oils your body needs right now.

The amazing thing is that the result seemed to read my situation for real!!! It said I feel weighed down by responsibility, with heavy shoulders and a lot on my back, and that there's something I need to prepare for but don't know what it is yet, though it will be great once I'm ready. That fits my situation exactly, since I'm starting to think about my next step, and it really amazed me 😯

Today's treatment used the spearmint, juniper and grapefruit oils the aroma cards gave me.

The interior is super clean, and the low lighting makes it feel cozy too 👍🏻

Before starting, they put some juniper oil on my fingers and told me to rub it into my lower abdomen, at the end of the colon, as if massaging it.

A head spa that includes back and shoulder care?

The brain detox head spa at Enne Brain Spa covers not only scalp circulation but also neck and shoulder relaxation. Back care all of a sudden??? That's what you're thinking, right?

I changed into a gown and lay face down on the bed for upper-body back care, and it was a whole new world. It felt like the physical therapy machines at an oriental medicine clinic or orthopedic clinic, but a higher-end version?? It doesn't attach by suction, so it leaves no marks, and the therapist moves it to the spots you need and works on them intensively. It felt so good 🥹 They said the device uses the principle of frequency and was made by a physical therapist.

They combined the device treatment with hands-on massage, and it was so healing... The device works on the text-neck area and the back of the head, and it tingled all the way into my brain 🌟 It felt so good, and I thought, wow, so this is why it's called brain detox.

Afterward I felt refreshed!! My vision really got brighter, and I think it's because the pressure on my optic nerve eased. I could see my trapezius come down right away, which was just touching..🥹

The scalp care steps at Enne Brain Spa

The scalp care at Enne Brain Spa began with a first scalp massage on the bed, then moved to the shampoo chair for gua sha massage, scaling, shampoo, balance oil, water therapy and ampoule, in that order. After the first massage on the bed, I moved to the shampoo chair on the left to continue the scalp care.

• A gua sha device with small bumps massaged my head like a comb, loosening the whole scalp
• They poured water over my scalp, and my whole body relaxed as if I'd come just to listen to water sounds...! I almost fell asleep 😴
• They did scalp scaling with a cotton swab
• After a thorough, refreshing and careful shampoo with a really skilled touch
• They applied a scalp balance oil

After a long water therapy session with an interesting device that releases water, they finished by spraying on a scalp ampoule 👍🏻

I quickly dried just my scalp with a hair dryer and moved on to the finishing step.

15 years of shoulder knots: the change after one session

After just one session at Enne Brain Spa, my trapezius, which had been knotted for over 15 years, came down a bit. My shoulders have been rock-hard for more than 15 years, all the way up into my trapezius, but the therapist worked on them so hard that the trapezius really did come down!!

The area around my right shoulder blade is especially bad, and when the therapist said I must have been through a lot and been so tired, it comforted me 🥹

I finished by drinking a warm, tangy and nutty tea while listening to an explanation of the treatment I'd had today.

Enne Brain Spa also offers a quick head spa on weekday lunchtimes, and a deep back and shoulder care that extends to the lower back. One session alone worked so well that it's become my favorite treatment spot in Sejong, and I want to come often 😁👍🏻
