Sejong head spa for a mom's tight neck and shoulders: Enne Brain Spa

Since I carry my baby every day, my shoulders have rolled forward without me noticing, and my neck and trapezius are always stiff ( ｡ﾟДﾟ｡) To shake off some of that parenting fatigue, I finally went for a head spa and scalp treatment in Sejong〰️ The place I visited is Enne Brain Spa (엔느브레인스파) in Parc Blanc, Eojin-dong.

I came by car, and the Parc Blanc car park is free, so parking was no stress. You can book through Naver, so check your preferred date and time ahead and reserve before you go!

Inside Enne Brain Spa and the consultation

The inside of Enne Brain Spa was quiet and relaxing.

My days with the baby are chaotic, so a calm atmosphere like this felt so good (^o^)

Before the treatment, we had a consultation and went over the areas that usually bother me.

During the consultation, like with tarot, they had me think about what I wanted from the treatment and pick a card.

Enne Brain Spa uses aroma oils during treatment, and they used the oil written on the card I drew. This was fun, haha. My biggest worry is the stiff neck and shoulders from holding my baby so often, so I asked them to focus there.

What's in the Brain Detox Head Spa, and how much is it?

The treatment I received was Enne Brain Spa's Brain Detox Head Spa, 70 minutes. It was ₩77,000, but prices can change, so I'd recommend confirming when you book!

It's a program that treats the stress-worn neck, trapezius, shoulders and scalp together, then finishes with water therapy. Also note that manual care is included in every program!

Treatment order: frequency care → manual care → scalp care

The Brain Detox Head Spa goes roughly in the order of frequency care, manual care, then scalp care. Since it runs from the neck and shoulders up to the scalp, I think it suits anyone who wants a Sejong head spa and scalp treatment plus care for a tight upper body.

The treatment room was really clean and pleasant, which put me in a good mood the whole time (^_^)v

Frequency care and manual care: does it hurt?

The frequency care is done with a machine. At first it felt warm and gentle, but when it moved down toward the shoulder blades it felt refreshing yet quite painful? When I said it hurt, they explained that areas where the fascia is very tight or stuck together can hurt more. It was bearable, so I kept going, and after a while, strangely, it didn't hurt like at first.

After that came manual care by hand. They worked on the décolleté and the suboccipital muscles too. So so refreshing! d=(^o^)=b

These are the before and after photos. Before, my rolled shoulders sloped down like a coat hanger, and afterward they opened up a bit! The steep downhill became slightly gentler, you could say? Yesterday at Pilates I looked in the mirror and my neck definitely looked slimmer and longer p(^-^)q

How does the scalp care at Enne Brain Spa go?

When the manual care ends, you move to another seat and the scalp care begins. It goes roughly in this order. (I may have the exact order wrong, so please just use it as a guide to the steps.)

• Mineral seawater application
• Scalp brush care
• Scalp scaling
• Water therapy and scalp balance oil
• Mineral water shot

First they applied mineral seawater to the scalp, then used a scalp brush to shake loose the fascia.

When they checked my scalp, it was reddish and felt hot. I was shocked when I saw the photo too (　´⊇｀) During the brush care, they said my scalp fascia was so tight it barely moved. I realized the scalp needs its own care as well. (Before and after photos are below, so please check them❗️)

Next came scalp scaling and water therapy using the scalp balance oil. They said Enne Brain Spa's scalp scaling uses no chemical products, just steam and oil, to minimize irritation to the scalp, which made me trust it even more.

It ended with a mineral water shot to ease the heat and add moisture! It felt like they washed my hair carefully for almost 30 minutes, haha. When you're raising a baby, you often rush through washing and head out without drying properly, so having my scalp cleaned in every corner for once felt great.

They told me that waste from the brain should be flushed out through the cerebrospinal fluid, but when the neck and shoulder muscles are stiff, circulation isn't smooth, which can cause headaches and scalp problems. Stress is one of the main causes too!! That's why regular care is needed, I realized.

An honest review of the Brain Detox Head Spa from a mom

The first thing I thought after Enne Brain Spa was how refreshed my scalp felt. The Brain Detox Head Spa is more than a plain head spa: it flows in order from the neck and trapezius to the scalp, which suited me, since my upper body is often stiff from parenting.

Of course, one session can't completely change your body, but lying still for a while and having my neck, shoulders and scalp cared for together left me feeling noticeably lighter.
