Why do people keep going back to Good Things Gumi?

Good Things Gumi is a large café in In-dong, Gumi that roasts its own beans. There are so many cafés in Gumi that I rarely go back to the same one, but the coffee here is among the best I've had, maybe because they roast in-house, so this is already my several-th visit.

You can park behind the shop, and roadside parking is also possible, so parking is fairly easy. There's also a 20% discount on takeout.

What are the interior and seating like at Good Things Gumi?

The interior is still neat and clean. Light pours in through the big windows and the lighting inside is soft, so the mood changes depending on where you sit. There's a spot near the entrance where a group can sit together, and plenty of tables inside, which I liked.

We sat at a seat along the inner wall. The space is open and visible from anywhere, so you can watch the coffee being brewed and the drinks being made.

Buying house-roasted beans and drip bags at Good Things

At Good Things Gumi you can buy the beans they roast themselves, and they sell drip bags too~ The prices are reasonable, so after a good cup of coffee you could pick some up as a gift or for drinking at home.

Cute charms by the Good Things counter

While ordering I noticed cute charms in front of the counter, asked about them, and was told I could take some~ so I grabbed quite a lot for the kids. I'd had my eye on the lucky turtle for a while, and aren't the dessert and sea-animal charms adorable? Total jackpot just for visiting a café. I spent the evening decorating my phone with them.

Good Things Gumi menu: what we ordered and prices

This time I ordered the Good Things ube coffee (₩6,500) and a grapefruit honey black tea (₩6,000). On my last visit I had the golden orange coffee, but I saw they had an ube drink, which is trendy right now, so I went with the ube coffee. It's ube cream over strong milk coffee. My older sister ordered the grapefruit honey black tea.

We came after lunch and the salt bread was already sold out, so we ordered a caramel egg tart, a plain egg tart (₩2,800 each) and the Jeju matcha chocolate cake (₩7,500). Good Things has a wide range of cakes; last time I had the milk cake and the Matilda cake (chocolate), so I picked something different this time, and it was good again. I want to try every kind~

What does the Good Things ube coffee taste like?

Ordering the Good Things ube coffee was the right call.👀 The layers of coffee, milk and ube cream look pretty in photos, and the richness of the coffee, the softness of the milk and the luxurious sweetness of the ube cream blend together so well that it's surprisingly delicious.

Grapefruit honey black tea at Good Things Gumi

My sister said her grapefruit honey black tea (known in Korea as jaheobeul) was delicious as well. It's moderately sweet and cold, easy to enjoy alongside desserts. (She was really disappointed by a famous franchise's version recently, but says Good Things' is better than that Star*** one, so she was very happy, haha.)

Good Things egg tarts and Jeju matcha chocolate cake

The two egg tarts look identical, but one has caramel underneath, so it's sweeter❤️ Honestly, an egg tart isn't a dessert you stop at one of. These are soft, bite-sized egg tarts on layers of croissant dough, and even though I'd just eaten a big lunch they disappeared before I knew it.

The Jeju matcha chocolate cake was moist and tasty too. The chocolate sponge is mostly there for shape~ it's the matcha cream plus chocolate cream that makes it soft and moist. The ube coffee's strong coffee flavor came through, so it went really well with the cake, you know?

Is Good Things Gumi a good café for quiet conversation?

The café is spacious and good for spending time slowly, so there were many solo visitors and lots of couples too. The tables are well spaced, so it was still a good place for quiet talk, a large café in In-dong, Gumi. New drinks seem to come out every season and the desserts change each time I visit, so it always feels fresh.
