Naei-dong loach soup restaurant, Milyang: ₩18,000 set, Ilpum Irojeong

Ilpum Irojeong is a loach soup and Korean set-menu restaurant on Baekmin-ro in Naei-dong, Milyang, Gyeongnam. Visiting with family of three, the writer ordered three atka mackerel and pork loach soup sets (₩18,000 each), which arrived with loach soup in sanghwang mushroom broth, turmeric rice, one grilled atka mackerel per person, side dishes and fried loach. The pork at Ilpum Irojeong was especially moist and tender, so any set that includes pork is worth ordering.

Korean set-meal restaurant with tower parking, Daegu: Geumdeungeo

Geumdeungeo Deulanguil Main Branch is a wood-fired grilled mackerel set-meal (hanjeongsik) restaurant on Deulan-ro in Suseong-gu, Daegu. The writer booked ahead and ordered grilled mackerel for two (19,000 won) and stir-fried spicy pork for one (20,000 won), with free refills of mallow soybean paste soup and banchan such as seokbakji radish kimchi and japchae from the self-serve bar. Ground and tower parking plus an on-site parking attendant make Geumdeungeo an easy choice for family and group meals.
