Grilled banana popover pancake at Gangnam brunch spot The Mignon Seoul
In short
The Mignon Seoul is a brunch and Western restaurant in Gangnam, Seoul, 299m from Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 6. On a weekday lunch with a friend, The Mignon Seoul's second-floor seats brought the popover pancake at 18,000 won and the truffle mushroom gnocchi at 23,000 won, and the grilled banana had a lightly hardened top like crème brûlée. High ceilings and wide gaps between tables make The Mignon Seoul a good choice for blind dates or engagement-invitation meetups where conversation matters.

A restaurant that's perfect as a Gangnam Station blind-date spot — I visited a Gangnam brunch favorite with a friend I always love seeing, and that place is a restaurant called The Mignon Seoul. It's known for pretty plating that's a feast for the eyes too, and honestly the good mood starts the moment you're walking there!

How to get to The Mignon Seoul, plus parking and reservations
The Mignon Seoul is located at 25 Gangnam-daero 102-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, a 299m walk from Sinnonhyeon Station exit 6. Parking isn't available, so I'd recommend using a nearby public parking lot.
Definitely make a reservation before visiting!!! Walk-ins are possible too, but for something important like a blind date or an engagement party gathering, booking ahead means you can walk right in without waiting and feel more at ease.
What The Mignon Seoul feels like inside at weekday lunch

We came on a weekday lunch and the sunlight was pouring in, making the whole space feel so relaxing — being in a place like this just naturally lifts your mood. The Mignon Seoul is a great atmosphere spot even at lunch, and turns romantic in the evening.

We were shown up to the second floor, and there were even more seats there! It seems like a really good space for blind dates or engagement gatherings.
While we waited on the second floor, we took a quick peek at the rooftop on the third floor — it doesn't seem to be in operation right now, but it was still nice to see the open sky.

With such high ceilings, conversation doesn't echo, and the tables are spaced generously apart, so it felt easy to keep chatting in a comfortable atmosphere... The Mignon Seoul seems perfect for blind dates, engagement gatherings, or dates.

What we ordered at The Mignon Seoul and what it cost

- Truffle mushroom gnocchi ₩23,000
- Popover pancake ₩18,000
Popover pancake with grilled banana, 18,000 won

The popover pancake is ₩18,000 — a puffed-up pancake topped with grilled banana, arugula, ricotta cheese, bacon, and tomato, slightly chewy yet soft. Eating a little bit of the banana, jamón, ricotta cheese, and cherry tomato together was so good.
The banana especially had a glazed finish on top, giving it a slightly hardened crème-brûlée kind of taste — this seemed like a dish that pairs really well with coffee too. The ricotta cheese was nutty but clean-tasting.

Truffle mushroom gnocchi, 23,000 won

The truffle mushroom gnocchi is ₩23,000 — gnocchi flavored with truffle cream sauce, bacon, and mushrooms, and it's genuinely delicious, a can't-go-wrong choice! If the truffle mushroom gnocchi feels like too much, there's also chestnut gnocchi at the same price, which has a soft, sweet flavor.

If you visit in the evening, I think this gnocchi would go really well with wine too. The gnocchi is chewy while still holding a deep potato flavor, and since it's truffle gnocchi, you also get to enjoy that deep truffle aroma alongside it.
This was actually my second visit to The Mignon Seoul, and I enjoyed the food both times. You can have a pleasant meal in a setting that's romantic yet sophisticated.
