Gangnam brunch restaurant for a new-job celebration: The Mignon Seoul
In short
The Mignon Seoul is a large brunch restaurant in a white, European-style standalone building between Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station in Seoul, serving everything from brunch to pasta and wine. To celebrate a friend's new job, the writer shared The Mignon Seoul's brunch set for two: romaine salad, seafood oil pasta and seasonal fruit French toast topped with figs. It was a lot of food for two women, but they finished it all, and The Mignon Seoul suits celebrations, dates, blind dates and wedding invitation meetups.

Why The Mignon Seoul for a new-job celebration in Gangnam
The Mignon Seoul is a big restaurant in a two-story building near Gangnam Station, with everything from brunch to pasta to wine. My friend had just landed a job, so we met in Gangnam, and I wanted to spend the time somewhere pretty and a little upscale. That's how we ended up at The Mignon Seoul. It's also a great spot for a date or a blind date. Let me start my review of The Mignon~!

Where is The Mignon Seoul?
The Mignon Seoul sits on the diagonal road from Eonju Station toward Gangnam Station, closer to the Gangnam Station end. The big white European-style building is the one we're visiting today.

Interior and seating at The Mignon Seoul
The interior is white with purple accents, and it was as pretty inside as the stylish exterior suggested. The purple added a touch of luxury, and with the big windows and bright mood, I loved it. There are tables for 2, tables for 3-4, and even group seating for 8, so it would also work for a wedding invitation meetup in Gangnam, wouldn't it?

The 1st floor is bright and suits groups of 2-3
The Mignon Seoul has a 1st floor, a 2nd floor and a rooftop. The 1st floor is brighter than the 2nd, and it works best for parties of 2-3. Please check the photos above.

The dim 2nd floor suits evening wine dates and wedding invitation meetups
The 2nd floor has low lighting, which makes it a lovely mood for an evening wine date. There were people on blind dates and plenty of couples. It also has group seating, so I recommend it for a wedding invitation gathering in Gangnam.

Set menu options and prices at The Mignon Seoul
The Mignon Seoul has set menus for 2-4 people, and true to a Gangnam Station brunch favorite, there are three: the brunch set, the basic set and the main set. Each includes a salad, 2 mains and drinks, so the value is good. The brunch menu has pancakes, French toast and open sandwiches, plus salads, pasta, gnocchi and steak. Prices run from the high ₩10,000s to the mid ₩20,000s, which felt easy on the wallet (steak excluded).

How is the romaine salad in the brunch set for two?
I ordered the brunch set for two and chose the romaine salad, seafood oil pasta and seasonal fruit French toast. First, the romaine salad: a halved romaine topped with various ingredients and drizzled with sauce. It looked great and tasted great. The combination of cheese, sauce and romaine worked well.

Is the seafood oil pasta generous with seafood?
The seafood oil pasta had more seafood than oil, haha. The fresh, chunky seafood made the flavor even richer. The noodles are on the plump side, with a well-cooked, soft texture.
When I first walked in, it felt so Instagram-y that I wondered if the food would even be good..? I was totally wrong. Professional chefs make everything, and the taste matched the looks.

Figs on the autumn seasonal fruit French toast
I was curious about the brunch menu too, so I ordered the seasonal fruit French toast, and since it was autumn, it came topped with figs. Soft, moist bread with sweet syrup, ripe figs and ice cream was truly amazing. It isn't just fruit: there's ham and cream cheese too, which went well with the sweet dessert.
Honestly, it would have been even better with coffee, but we had just come from a café, which was a shame. Next time I'm at The Mignon Seoul, I'll skip the café and come straight here.

The bread is really soft and fluffy. The figs were incredibly sweet, and eating them together is just delicious. I fully admit this is a top Gangnam Station brunch spot.

The sweet-and-salty back and forth between the oil pasta and the brunch dish never got tiresome, and we kept reaching for one then the other. Skip a separate dessert after pasta and enjoy it all as one course at The Mignon Seoul!

The seafood oil pasta also has big shrimp. They come already peeled, so you can keep your dignity on a date, haha. They were plump and tasty. There's plenty of chewy scallop too.

How were the drinks and portion size of the brunch set for two?
So this is the brunch set for two at The Mignon Seoul. Two drinks are included. There's wine and other alcohol, but I don't drink, so I chose soda.

It was a lot of food for two women, but it was so good that we ended up finishing everything. The romaine salad was much cleaner and tastier than a regular chopped salad, and being able to have brunch and a proper meal at the same time was a big plus. If you're stuck choosing a place for a date, blind date or wedding invitation meetup, how about The Mignon Seoul~?
