Pork cutlet happy hour in Songpa, Seoul: Pine Katsu
In short
Pine Katsu is a pork cutlet restaurant near Samjeon Station in Songpa, Seoul. I tried the udon katsu set and Lean Pure Loin Katsu, with soft, clean-tasting breading and udon full of fried tofu. Pine Katsu is a great-value choice for pork cutlets during weekday happy hour.

Pine Katsu near Samjeon Station: exterior and happy hour

There are menu items you can enjoy for less during weekday happy hour, from 4 to 5 p.m.! They use 100% Korean ingredients, too. It was nice that I could look over the menu in advance.

Pine Katsu menu and rice refills
You can get a drink for writing a receipt review, and each month they choose one reviewer to give a ₩50,000 Starbucks gift card! There were katsu set meals, noodles, curry, and set menus. They also have affordable sides, which was nice.

For menu items that include rice, you can get one free refill! Additional bowls of rice are ₩1,000.

They even grow vegetables here, and the meat is deliciously aged using water-aging.

Udon katsu set and Lean Pure Loin Katsu
We ordered the udon katsu set and the Lean Pure Loin Katsu.

The Lean Pure Loin Katsu uses YBD pork, so it was tender and went well with the tonkatsu sauce. It came with salad, clear soup, kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), and pickled chili peppers.

The meat was pork loin, and above all, I loved how clean and soft the breading was. The udon was tasty, too, with plenty of noodles and yubu (fried tofu) inside.

A spacious interior for groups and families
The inside is really spacious, with sofa seats and high chairs, too. It would be great for groups or families, and I noticed lots of people dining alone as well, haha.
If you are looking for a great pork cutlet spot, or want to enjoy pork cutlets at a good value, I recommend Pine Katsu 🤍
