Ansan fajita restaurant with build-your-own tortillas: The Taco Booth

Today I stepped away from my usual food routine and visited a Mexican restaurant in Gojan-dong, Ansan! This is The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch.

The moment you walk in, it hits you with a New York street vibe, and the dish we ordered was just as striking to look at. It was The Taco Booth's signature menu, the all-meat fajita! Beef, pork, chicken, and even shrimp all at once, which made wrapping different combos into tortillas genuinely fun.

The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch is located at 1F 111, Geumgang Plaza, 56 Gwangdeokseo-ro, Danwon-gu, Ansan-si, Gyeonggi-do. It sits right in the Gojan-dong commercial district, so it's a solid spot for a date or dinner nearby.

The exterior already has a hipper feel than your typical taco shop. The huge THE TACO BOOTH sign, neon lights, and decor reminiscent of a New York subway made the concept clear before you even step inside.

Where to park: Jinheung 5-gil public street parking

There's no parking at the restaurant itself, so it's easier to use the nearby Jinheung 5-gil public street parking lot. It's about 140m from the store, and costs roughly ₩1,500 per hour.

That said, given the nature of the Gojan-dong commercial area, public parking spots tend to fill up fast in the evening, so if you're driving, I'd recommend leaving extra time to find a spot.

Stepping inside, you genuinely wonder if you're still in Gojan-dong or somehow in New York haha. The vibe from the exterior only gets stronger indoors. A New York subway map, the Statue of Liberty, and various taco and beer posters cover the walls.

Ordering by tablet at the table

Each table has an ordering tablet, so you can browse menu photos and order comfortably from your seat. It's not just tacos — the menu spans tacos, poke, burritos, quesadillas, and fajitas, way more variety than I expected.

Looking at the menu, you can pick by protein — birria tacos, carne asada tacos, pollo tacos, picadillo tacos, and more.

There's a self-service bar off to one side. Small plates, forks and spoons, wet wipes, napkins, disposable gloves, and hot sauce are all there for you to grab.

Since tacos and fajitas are often wrapped by hand, having disposable gloves ready was quietly convenient.

What we ordered this time was the all-meat fajita. It's the signature menu that lets you enjoy pork, chicken, beef, and shrimp all at once. A large skillet was packed edge to edge with meats, shrimp, vegetables, and sides.

When the dish first arrived, my first thought was, "What do I even eat first?" haha. Looking across the skillet — beef, finely shredded pork, seasoned chicken and shrimp, even minced meat — everything was piled on generously by type.

There were also grilled cherry tomatoes, green beans, and onions, which made a nice break from eating meat nonstop.

Beef, pork and chicken: picking your way through four meats

The biggest strength of the all-meat fajita is exactly what the name says — you get to eat several types of meat at once! Beef in one tortilla, pork in the next, chicken after that — even though it's one dish, you keep switching up the combo.

Personally, dishes like this can taste great for the first few bites but get repetitive later. The all-meat fajita let me keep swapping ingredients, so there was definitely fun in choosing as I went.

How was the shrimp?

And the shrimp really held its own among the meats! One bite and the texture was genuinely bouncy. If you love shrimp, you'll probably grab that first when you order the all-meat fajita haha.

Guacamole and lime on the side

On the side came guacamole, lime, and a few sauces. Guacamole has that soft, nutty avocado flavor, so adding it to the seasoned meat softened the overall taste a bit.

And when things start to feel a little rich, a squeeze of lime does the trick. The bright citrus aroma cuts through and cleans up the flavor instantly. Rather than sticking to one taste, switching things up — guacamole once, a different sauce next, lime after that — was the real fun of eating the all-meat fajita.

Building your own tortilla, ingredient by ingredient

And the core of any fajita! Plenty of tortillas are laid out beside the dish. As you can see in the photo, they're a darker style.

Open up a tortilla, add some beef, a little pork, a piece of shrimp, then top it with guacamole and sauce as you like — your own personal taco is done! Fold it in half and take a big bite. There's no set combination — you can freely mix whatever meats and ingredients you're craving, and that was the most fun part.

The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch left a strong impression not just for the food but for its New York street-style atmosphere. And this all-meat fajita seems like a great fit if you'd rather try a bit of everything than commit to one main protein.

With beef, pork, and chicken all available, there was real fun in choosing, and the flavor kept shifting depending on what I loaded into the tortilla. The shrimp especially had that bouncy texture fully intact, which I personally found pretty satisfying.

On top of that, using the guacamole, various sauces, and lime meant even the same ingredients could taste different each time. And with the dish arriving piled high on a big skillet, the visual impact when it first showed up was seriously impressive haha.
