Hôtel de Couture (오뗄드꾸뜨) is a Western restaurant in Yeonnam-dong built on a classic French style, where you can enjoy steak, pasta, stew and more with beautiful plating. I think it would be great for a date, a blind date, an anniversary or a get-together in Yeonnam-dong!

The shop's name is written Hotel De GGOODD, which apparently means "GGOODD Hotel" in French! They added an extra G and D to GOOD, as a way of saying they want to offer an even better atmosphere and tastier food. So, let me introduce this Yeonnam-dong pasta favorite, Hôtel de Couture!

What does the outside of Hôtel de Couture look like?

Hôtel de Couture has a red-brick building with flower decorations, and I was walking through Yeonnam-dong when the exterior was so pretty that it caught my eye right away. So that's how I ended up at this Yeonnam-dong pasta place!!! ✨ It feels like a shop in a European alley.

How long is the Saturday wait at Hôtel de Couture?

There's no waiting app, so you have to wait in person! You can reserve ahead, though. Reservations are a must, a must..!

While we waited I kept hearing foreign languages. It seems to be a favorite of foreign visitors too. Of course, there were plenty of Korean people as well!

We arrived at 1:40 PM on a Saturday and got in after waiting 1 hour. There are chairs in front of the shop, which helped a bit..!!

Inside Hôtel de Couture and the window seats

Inside, the orange walls, wood-tone tables and sunlight coming through the windows are just so lovely...♥️ The window seats were especially pretty ☀️ You can sit by the window, watch the Yeonnam-dong alley outside, and it seemed great for a date!

The restroom is inside the restaurant too, and it's nice and clean.

The menu at this Yeonnam-dong pasta spot has omelets, pasta, French toast, steak, salad and even wine. Looking at the menu, it seemed good for a brunch-style meal, and also good with wine in the evening!

How does the house steak (₩35,000) taste?

The house steak is ₩35,000. The meat was cooked just right and not tough, and it comes with cheese-sprinkled onion rings. Wow ✨ It looked great and really felt like a proper Western meal.

The doneness was just right and the meat wasn't tough, so it was delicious! Eaten with the sauce, it also cut the richness.

There was cheese sprinkled on the onion rings too, so they had a nutty, savory flavor! The meat and onion rings went well together.

Is the carrot duck aglio e olio (₩18,000) greasy?

The carrot duck aglio e olio is ₩18,000, and it's piled with thinly shredded carrot on top of the aglio e olio (garlic and oil pasta), so the look was really unique! The colors jumped out at me as soon as it arrived!

Oil pasta can be greasy, but eaten together with the carrot on top it wasn't greasy at all, which I liked!

Who would I recommend Hôtel de Couture to?

Overall, Hôtel de Couture had pretty food and a pretty space ✨ From the exterior to the interior, window seats, plates and plating, everything is great for photos, so it's perfect for anyone looking for a stylish Yeonnam-dong restaurant!

The taste is good, but the atmosphere is the real big plus, so I recommend this Yeonnam-dong pasta place for a date or when you're looking for a pretty restaurant with friends 🤍
