I visited Gobuni Gopchang Hanam Misa Station Branch (곱분이곱창), a gopchang (pork intestine) spot in Hanam Misa with outdoor tables by the station. There was zero smell, so I enjoyed it from start to finish 👍🏻

Gobuni Gopchang Hanam Misa Station Branch is on the first floor of Star Park at 87 Misagangbyeonnam-ro, Hanam-si, Gyeonggi-do, 306 m from Misa Station Exit 8, a 4-minute walk. Parking is available. It's open daily from 15:00 to 01:00 the next day, and until 02:00 on Fridays and Saturdays.

Why someone who hates pork gopchang tried Gobuni Gopchang

I'm in the middle of a project where I try things I don't eat, haven't tried, dislike or like, all of it. Pork gopchang is in my top 3 most-hated foods. I hate the pork smell so much that even though I know it's tasty, I basically never ate it. But Gobuni Gopchang is famous as a Misa gopchang place that does pork gopchang well, so I went to check it out.

What are the outdoor tables near Misa Station like?

Gobuni Gopchang Hanam Misa Station Branch has outdoor tables (yajang, 야장) in front of the shop, so you can eat gopchang outside. An outdoor table by Misa Station happened to be free, so we sat right down.

Eating gopchang outside on a night with a cool breeze was great. I think it suits anyone looking for that Misa Station outdoor-table feel.

At Gobuni Gopchang, charcoal-grilled gopchang is the signature dish, and vegetable gopchang stir-fried on an iron plate is also popular. We ordered vegetable gopchang for two. Once we sat down, the basic setting was laid out first.

The wrap greens are perilla leaves, and you also get garlic, chili peppers, spicy sauce, mayonnaise, ssamjang (seasoned dipping paste), mumssam (thin pickled radish wraps) and nurungji (scorched rice). They gave a generous amount of mumssam, which I loved.

Nurungji comes as standard too, and eating hot nurungji at an outdoor table was so, so good.

They had Coolpis (a Korean milky soft drink) for the first time in ages, so I ordered one.

Does Gobuni Gopchang's vegetable gopchang really have no pork smell?

The vegetable gopchang for two at Gobuni Gopchang came to the grill with corn, chives and seasoned gopchang. So appetizing!

Since it's seasoned gopchang, a delicious smell wafted up and my mouth watered. The portion looks huge too!

I hate the pork smell, so I never ate pork gopchang even knowing it's tasty, but Gobuni Gopchang had absolutely no smell, and I just really enjoyed it from start to finish! I scooped up plenty of corn with a spoon and ate it together.

Picking up chives and gopchang together tasted clean and delicious! And there were lots of glass noodles in it, which I loved, haha.

Perilla leaves, pickled radish wraps and mayonnaise

Put mumssam on a perilla leaf, add gopchang and dip it in mayonnaise. Honey-sweet good!

There was a lot, but I ate it all, haha. Anyone watching would have thought I loved gopchang all along. I was so full that I left a tiny bit of cabbage 😢

Is Gobuni Gopchang good for people who can't stand pork gopchang?

I hate pork gopchang, and at Gobuni Gopchang there was no smell at all and I finished everything, so that says it all! The vegetable gopchang for two was generous and well seasoned, so it was filling. I also liked the free nurungji and the generous mumssam. Eating at an outdoor table by Misa Station in the cool breeze made the whole mood great too.
