Hanam Korean BBQ restaurant for family dining: Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang

A barbecue restaurant worth stopping at with family on the way to Dumulmeori

Today I brought you a place that’s just so good for family dining! It’s on the way to Yangpyeong—on the way to Dumulmeori—so I recommend having a meal here and then heading out for a drive. That place is, ta-da, Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang (한마음정육식당).

But what’s this? They even have lunch specials! They look seriously delicious! Even just looking at the regular food, I got the feeling it would be really good!!

Come during the day and you get this lovely view, too. There’s parking support, so you can eat while taking in the scenery. It’s not overly noisy, and the restaurant is fairly large, so it’s nice to have a relaxed meal, right? Food eaten somewhere with an open view ahead just tastes extra sweet.

You can also see meat currently aging here, and oh my, they have aged meat too? This is amazing, isn’t it?! We visited on a weekday, so it wasn’t especially busy, but there’s a Gyeongjeong Park right below that’s great for family visits, so I imagine weekends get packed! The staff were also super quick to bring us anything we needed!

There are private rooms like this too, so families can enjoy a quiet meal together~~ I thought it would be nice to bring my parents here later for meat and a birthday celebration, too. It doesn’t have that overly barbecue-restaurant feel.

From aged meat to lunch and sides

The signature dishes must be delicious first of all, right? It seemed like aged meat was their specialty!

Everything from pork to lunch menus is covered perfectly.

The sides are perfect too, aren’t they? They give you a little jjolmyeon (chewy spicy noodle salad), and if it isn’t enough, I think you could order more!

There’s a self-service corner like this, so you can pick up anything you need here. If there’s a side dish that isn’t out, the staff will bring it if you ask.

Baby-room CCTV and a spacious kids’ room

But what is this? This is really great! There’s a fully equipped baby room and even CCTV—four cameras, no less—so parents can watch in real time? I’ve honestly never seen anything like this…. It’s simply perfect for visiting with a baby.

These are the basic side dishes, and wow, they give you enough to put a full Korean set meal to shame;;;.

The Pork Platter and crisp, juicy mackerel

The Pork Platter we ordered! The price was reasonable, and I loved that it came with a variety of cuts. Can you see it?! Ahh, I’m writing this and getting hungry and drooling at the same time….

There were three of us, so they gave us mackerel too, and it had been such a long time since I’d had mackerel this crisp on the outside and moist inside…. This is a true Misa go-to for meat, right in front of Gyeongjeong Park!!!! A fantastic meat restaurantㅠ

It’s an incredible combination, you know?

It just melts away. You have no idea how well it goes with scallion salad. The ultimate sweet-salty combination, and it cuts right through the richness.

There’s also a separate stone plate where you can set things aside, so it’s the best, the best. You can keep your food warm. It comes with pork belly, pork neck, and pork jowl, and every bit is delicious. Pork jowl was my favorite. Just the right amount of fat and such savory meat.

Is this for real? The kids’ room is huge, and even adults would want to try that claw machine over there! Have you ever seen a kids’ room this big??

It’s the kind of place where kids can play in the kids’ area while adults eat comfortably, and dessert rounds everything out perfectly. The playground is great too, so it seems like children can play freely!

We cleaned every last bit off the plates. The side dishes were tasty too, and this is a Hanam pork restaurant that adults, families, and kids will all enjoy.

How to get there and why I recommend it for gatherings

If you get confused finding the restaurant, take the elevator in front of Jurium up to the third floor and you’ll see it right away! It’s a spotless place with kind staff, a spacious dining room, and fully equipped private rooms. It’s so good for visiting with children, with parking sorted too. It works not only for family meals but also company dinners and group gatherings, and you can dine privately somewhere quiet. If you come for lunch, I highly, highly recommend the beef rib lunch set!
