After finishing a puzzle, I started looking for puzzle glue so I could preserve it. That’s when I found Hasi Jigsaw Puzzle Glue. My sunflower puzzle had been sitting around neglected all this time... 🥹🥹 I felt a tiny bit sorry for it, so I bought the glue thinking I should finish it up quickly. I can’t put it off any longer 🤦♀️🤦🤦♂️

It had passed various tests, which made it feel the most trustworthy. Reliable technology 🌟

Includes a silicone brush
The product comes in very green packaging and includes a silicone brush, too. It looked neater than I expected, and the puzzle illustration is kind of cute. The description said it can be used for up to 5,000 pieces ٩꒰。•◡•。꒱۶ My sunflower puzzle has 150 pieces, so this is a very, very generous amount 🫢

This is roughly the size of the glue and silicone brush. It is made with water-based PVA.

It can be used on puzzles or diamond painting projects. There was also a separate product for diamond painting, but I still haven’t figured out the difference. Since this one is for both, I think it should be fine to use. (I should look for a diamond painting project too 😅)

Applying it to a 150-piece sunflower puzzle
This is what it looked like before applying the glue. I carried it over very, very carefully. I’d be so upset if it fell apart 😭

The cap twists open, and there was also a protective seal to keep the glue from drying out. The seal came off very smoothly too 😀

The glue was clear and felt like liquid school glue. It looked slightly white-ish on the purchase page, but the actual product was completely clear. There was no chemical smell, and since it is water-based PVA, it was easy enough to use indoors. I don’t usually like that distinctive adhesive smell, so I was happy that it had no smell at all 👍
The directions are very simple. Squeeze it directly onto the top of the puzzle and brush it on with the silicone brush—done. Maybe because it was only 150 pieces, it took less than a minute to apply. Even with more pieces, I don’t think it would take very long. The instructions say that applying it to both the front and back is best if you want sturdier storage. Since I was putting mine in a frame, I applied it only to the front ٩꒰。•◡•。꒱۶
A puzzle firmly set after 2 hours of drying
After applying it all, I let it dry in a shady, well-ventilated spot. It didn’t look very different before and after application, so I got a little worried—did I apply it properly...?

When I checked after drying it for about 2 hours, it seemed to have been applied properly. The puzzle pieces were held together very firmly. It was amazing to be able to lift the puzzle with one hand.

Then I put it in a frame and hung it up 🥹 You might wonder why I applied glue if I was going to frame it anyway, but..! The pieces were held together more securely than before, making it easier to put into the frame. Without the glue, I might have dropped it while putting it in... probably 🥺
The puzzle surface also got a slight sheen, which made the puzzle look a little clearer, and I liked that. It says there is no color fading either, so I’m looking forward to that 🙂 It wasn’t overly glossy or distracting; it felt like a natural finish.
Now that I have puzzle glue, I should look for a pretty puzzle. Maybe I’ll find a slightly bigger one ๑・̑◡・̑๑
I recommend Hasi Jigsaw Puzzle Glue to anyone who wants to store a puzzle nicely or is looking for water-based puzzle glue without a chemical smell 👍 It is simple to use and the result was very satisfying, so it looks like it would be good for homes with young children, too.
Finishing the puzzle and hanging it like a piece of art made me feel so accomplished 🥰 I think it is nice that you can preserve it even without a frame.
