Gyeongui Line Forest Park dessert café for bresanne to go: Dasoni

In short

Dasoni is a bakery café on Tojeong-ro 31-gil in Mapo, Seoul, between Gyeongui Line Forest Park and Mapo Station. After walking the Gyeongui Line Forest Park from Daeheung Station, the writer took home a chocolate baguette, salt bread and a bresanne (3,600 won), and the moist, cream-filled bresanne, a first try, made the biggest impression. On a Gyeongui Line Forest Park stroll, Dasoni's bresanne with a latte is worth going for.

I came to Gongdeok today for the first time in ages ➿ Before heading home, I was walking the Gyeongui Line Forest Park from Daeheung Station toward Gongdeok Station and stopped at a café 🏡 I only got takeout, and I regret it, because the view is so good, the shop feels cozy, and it's packed with delicious bread. This is Dasoni (다소니), a dessert café by Gyeongui Line Forest Park ✨

Where is Dasoni and what are its hours?

Dasoni is at 67 Tojeong-ro 31-gil, 1st floor, Mapo-gu, Seoul, toward Exit 2 of Mapo Station, and it's open Wed–Sun 10:00–17:00. You can reach it from Daeheung, Mapo and Gongdeok Stations in under a 10-minute walk ➿

Dasoni storefront and location toward Mapo Station

I walked over from Daeheung Station through Gyeongui Line Forest Park. Dasoni is less than a 5-minute walk from the park, so on a nice day you can stroll the park and then catch a window view like this 🏡

What's the Dasoni atmosphere like, and is it good for laptops?

Inside, Dasoni is small and comfortable with white and wood interiors, and every table has an outlet, so it's nice for working on a laptop in a quiet setting 👩🏻‍💻

White and wood is my favorite style, so I was even happier! I felt like sipping a latte here while looking out the window would be so relaxing 🏡

Baguette decorative props in Dasoni

Even the decorative props in the shop are baguettes 🥖 They look neat, and the whole atmosphere is just lovely. And Gyeongui Line Forest Park is perfect to visit in this weather, right?

Dasoni's atmosphere and the view outside the window

The mood is so good that I'm sure you'll be 10000% satisfied, so I recommend it. Looking at the photos again, I'm so sad I didn't stay, and there's one terrace seat too, which made me envious of that view 🌴

Dasoni bread selection and prices

Bread made in the shop is Dasoni's main draw, with a wide range from melon bread at ₩3,000 to an apple brie cheese sandwich at ₩11,900, plus sandwiches, ciabatta and baguettes. Aren't these breads exactly what catches a bread lover's eye? ✨ From sandwiches to ciabatta and baguettes, Dasoni is full of tasty bread.

How much is coffee at Dasoni?

An Americano at Dasoni is ₩4,000 and a café latte is ₩4,500, which is easy on the wallet for an independent café. Misugaru (roasted grain drink) is ₩5,500, and matcha latte, chocolate latte and milk tea are ₩6,000.

  • Americano ₩4,000
  • Café latte ₩4,500
  • Misugaru ₩5,500
  • Matcha latte / chocolate latte / milk tea ₩6,000

Even the coffee prices are ideal, everyone ☕️ Personally, I think an independent café passes the coffee price test if an Americano doesn't go over ₩5,000, and the latte is only ₩4,500 too, so when you're looking for a café near Gongdeok Station, head to Dasoni, close to Gyeongui Line Forest Park!

Bread I took home from Dasoni: chocolate baguette, salt bread, bresanne

Bread packed to go from Dasoni

The breads I picked at Dasoni were a chocolate baguette, salt bread and a bresanne 🍽️ So many reviews say the bread is good that I got it to go, and next time I'll come with my husband and have lattes and bread together.

How does Dasoni's chocolate baguette taste?

The chocolate baguette was wrapped so carefully that this bread lover was excited from the packaging alone ➿ The chocolate baguette was kind of a hot item among bread lovers, but my husband ate it all and I missed out, so this time I picked it right away at Dasoni ✨

The baguette was so chewy, with just the right texture, and the rich chocolate that shows up here and there melts my heart (sob)

The plot twist: Dasoni's bresanne

Between the salt bread and the bresanne, the most memorable was the bresanne (₩3,600), which I tried for the first time. I'm a salt bread lover and always eat it when I see it, so I picked one up, and of course the handmade salt bread was pure bliss!

The twist was that the really delicious one was the bresanne! I'd never had it before, and it was extremely moist and soft, with real cream inside too! The bresanne was full of flavor like never before, so when you come to Gyeongui Line Forest Park, definitely stop by Dasoni and go for the bresanne and latte combo ☕️
