Stopping by Daesin while exploring Namdaemun Market
Daesin Ttangkong-ppang Namdaemun Market branch (대신땅콩빵) is a snack shop in the Namdaemun Market alleys selling peanut bread, egg bread and roasted peanuts. Browsing the market is fun, but the food in every alley is hard to walk past, haha. Whenever you get tired from wandering, you have to treat yourself to a snack.

While looking around the market this time, I stopped at Daesin because they have peanut bread, which I love. They make their own batter, so it's tasty and I trust it :)

I was happy to see peanut bread after so long, and they also sell egg bread, which I used to love! I bought peanut bread, egg bread and roasted peanuts, and enjoyed all three, so let me introduce them :)

Namdaemun Market has lots of alleys and it's easy to get confused the first time, so searching for Daesin Ttangkong-ppang Namdaemun Market branch on Naver Map makes it easier!

Daesin's egg bread with a whole egg inside

The first thing I want to introduce from Daesin is the egg bread! It's a snack I loved and often bought in the past, and since it doesn't seem as common these days, I was even happier to find it in Namdaemun Market.

There's one whole egg inside each egg bread. Eating bread and egg together is filling, and it had that familiar taste, so I enjoyed it even more. It would be a good snack when you get hungry while browsing the market. If you used to love egg bread, give it a try :)
Daesin's peanut bread studded with whole peanuts

Daesin's peanut bread also brought back the nostalgic taste I used to eat. Nutty and fluffy, that flavor-

The peanut breads are small and round, easy to pick up one at a time. Whole peanuts are baked right into the batter, so every bite adds more nutty flavor.

It felt like an upgrade on the peanut bread I used to eat! Being bite-sized, you keep reaching for another. Pulling them out one by one while wandering the market, you finish them before you know it. I ate some, then packed up the rest to share with my family, which was nice, haha.

Small but nutty roasted peanuts, with a share for my mom

The roasted peanuts I bought along with the bread were good too! The peanuts are a bit small, but the nutty flavor is rich. They're tasty with the skin on, and tasty peeled, so you keep reaching for more.

If you like peanuts, grab some roasted peanuts along with your bread. I picked some up for my mom too :)
Why I recommend Daesin for Namdaemun Market snacks

I really enjoyed the nostalgic peanut bread and egg bread at Daesin after so long! The peanut bread with whole peanuts was extra nutty and good, but I was just happy to eat the egg bread I used to love again. This time I didn't try the peanut butter or peanut latte, so I'll try them next time I'm in Namdaemun Market. If you want a light snack while browsing the market, or Namdaemun Market food to take home, stop by Daesin!
