How tight did my skin feel after washing with it on combination skin?

I have combination skin, with oiliness on my T-zone and dry cheeks. During seasonal changes, I also tend to get redness and fine flaking, so I pay particular attention to tightness when choosing a cleanser.

With this product, my skin felt less tight right after washing—not so tight that the area around my mouth turned flaky or that I needed to quickly layer on toner. Rather than leaving a squeaky-dry finish, it felt freshly cleansed with some moisture left behind.

Did it remove sunscreen and light base makeup in one wash?

One evening, I washed my face once after wearing sunscreen and light base makeup as usual. For me, it cleared away the slippery feeling and made the congestion around the sides of my nose and jawline feel lighter.

The slight residue I sometimes notice with low-pH cleansing foams was not significant. However, claims about sunscreen cleansing are stated in the product description, so it is best to consider those separately from my personal experience.

What were the lather and scent like?

At first, it felt like a dense cream formula, then built into a rich lather when rubbed with water. The bubbles felt fine, making it easy to wash without rubbing my face hard.

The scent was not strong, but it was not completely fragrance-free. I found it similar to a clean soap scent and was fine with it, but those sensitive to fragrance may want to keep that in mind. Even a bean-sized amount produced enough foam.

How did I use it on oilier areas?

After making a sufficient lather, I washed my T-zone a little more carefully and gently rolled the foam over my cheeks and eye area. Rinsing several times with lukewarm water left my skin feeling clean without irritation.

I was concerned because it contains fine charcoal powder, but for me, the shine around my nose decreased after washing and my pores felt more refined. It did not make blackheads disappear all at once.

How was it as a daily cleanser after exercise?

On days when I exercised and sweated, I felt it was good for washing away the unpleasant feeling of sweat mixed with oil. My skin texture still felt smooth the next day, which made morning makeup easier.

If you have combination or dry skin, wear sunscreen every day, and are concerned about post-wash tightness, you may find my experience useful. I plan to keep using it for now and am considering repurchasing it after I finish it.
