At Eungbongjip the writer ordered the Samsam-i set menu with spicy soft tofu stew and pollock roe sauce (myeongran-jang), refilled the scallion salad twice, then added 1 more portion of pork belly and 4 bottles of soju. With a clean dining room, neat side dishes and nutty pollock roe sauce, Eungbongjip is worth a return visit whenever you crave pork belly in Dasan.

Weekday 1pm hangover ramen at a Myeonmok tonkatsu spot: Katsu Monster

Katsu Monster Myeonmok is a tonkatsu and ramen restaurant on Sangbong-ro in Myeonmok-dong, Jungnang-gu, Seoul, right in front of Seoil University.
