Sup Scalp Gasan, the go-to spot for scalp care in Gasan! It's on the basement floor of Woorim Lions Valley, connected to Gasan Digital Complex Station, so it's perfect to visit during lunch or your commute... My scalp was so stiff on my way home from work that I booked through Naver reservations, got my treatment, and could go straight home comfortably afterward haha.

Sup Scalp Gasan has been running in Gasan for 6 years now. It's also a certified excellence center of the Korea Scalp & Hair Loss Association, and it's famous among office workers with problem scalps! Rather than just a relaxing head spa experience, it's a Gasan hair loss care shop that specializes in scalp issues like seborrheic dermatitis and folliculitis.

Inside the treatment room. Since the director runs it alone, reservations are a must! The space is for one person only but it's quite spacious.

Hairline hair loss concerns, starting with a scalp diagnosis

After taking off my top entirely, I put on the top and gown they prepared. The director carefully examined my scalp first, and even with the naked eye, my scalp looked blotchy and red, running hot..! I'd come in because my scalp and neck felt so heavy and stiff, and yeah, it was definitely in bad shape ㅠㅠ

Checking the scalp condition more closely with equipment, there was a lot of buildup and clogged pores. Looking closely, the scalp was red everywhere the device passed... (ugh) I mentioned my hairline hair loss concerns, and she said it's not just the hairline — the crown area needs proper care too ㅠㅠ Since I always part my hair the same way, she said the skin at my crown is currently very 'sunburnt' from constant exposure,,,

While the buildup was softening, she also worked on my shoulders and neck. Honestly ,,, it felt so good ,.,,,, While working on my shoulders and neck, she talked to me about scalp care — weakly acidic shampoo is a must, supplements are a must, and she said not to buy those SNS scalp products because they're fake lol. When I mentioned I was taking biotin, she told me to take omega-3 instead of biotin! This was the first time I'd met a director this honest (totally my style).

And she worked on my neck again! My neck's been bad, and to have it worked on too.. So. Good.

Finally, she finished by spraying on tonic, and that was it! For a scalp like mine, she recommended the tonic more than the ampoule. After the scalp care, even my hair texture felt improved.

Scalp before-and-after after one session

The before-and-after difference from the scalp care was seriously great.. First, the buildup was completely removed ~ and the redness on my scalp had gone down a lot. Hair loss care doesn't show effects right away, so it's not like my hair grew back after just one session, but at least the urgent problem was put out, so overall a big win haha. I'm going to keep up with scalp care diligently!!! ㅠㅠ
