Rainy Sunday sushi dinner with a kid in Dongnae, Busan: Moshi Moshi
In short
Moshi Moshi Sushi, Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch is a Japanese restaurant on the 8th-floor dining level of Lotte Department Store in Dongnae, Busan. After a rainy Sunday spent at the department store, the writer ordered the sushi platter (21,900 won), white fish sushi 10 pieces (28,000 won) and soba for dinner with her child, which covered sushi, three kinds of tempura and tofu salad. With a pork cutlet her child happily ate, high chairs and private room seating, Moshi Moshi Sushi worked well for a family dinner.

Last weekend we finally had some relaxing time at home, but after two straight days of staying in, my kid got so bored, haha. On Sunday it was raining so we couldn't do anything outdoors — we went to the department store instead and spent the whole day there with the kid, all the way through dinner. And dinner meant sushi, which my husband loves!

We went to Moshi Moshi, a Japanese restaurant on the 8th floor dining hall of Lotte Department Store Dongnae. This is a place we trust enough to have visited N times already.

At the entrance there's a menu board showing all the signature dishes at a glance, so it's great for browsing before you pick a seat.
Inside Moshi Moshi Sushi Dongnae: bar seats and a private room

The interior is clean and spacious overall. The tables are spaced generously, so you can have a comfortable meal.
There's also bar-style seating on one side, so solo dining is totally possible!

And they have a private room. Even though it's a department store tenant, they offer a separate private space, so it suits family gatherings, small get-togethers, and other important occasions.
Moshi Moshi Sushi menu and prices

Moshi Moshi Dongnae boasts a menu lineup that satisfies a wide range of customers. From set menus offering generous portions at reasonable prices,

to platter-style menus like the sushi platter for solo diners, sushi, sushi à la carte, noodle dishes and kids' sets, plus assorted sashimi, salmon sashimi, salmon salad, chashu, ramen, seafood yaki udon and more — the menu is broad enough for anyone, any age, to order to their taste.
What comes with the 21,900-won sushi platter?

The sushi platter comes with 8 pieces of sushi, 3 kinds of tempura, mini udon, salad, and tofu salad.

Flounder, salmon, tuna, eel and more sushi are neatly arranged on one plate, so it's fun picking which to eat first.

Especially the thick-cut salmon sushi — it's seriously soft and moist, it melts in your mouth 🍣🧡

My husband, who truly, truly loves sushi and had sushi even the day before, devoured it saying the quality was great and delicious. The sushi selection in the platter was really good too.

The soft tofu salad is really delicious too. Paired with sesame sauce, the nuttiness is outstanding.
White fish sushi, 10 pieces for 28,000 won

My husband's favorite white fish sushi comes fully loaded with 10 pieces of white fish sushi, 3 kinds of tempura, vegetable salad, tofu salad, and miso soup.
The white fish looked thick and moist even before tasting it, and once I picked up a piece, the rice-to-fish ratio was just right.

Dipped lightly in soy sauce, I really got to enjoy the clean, soft flavor of the white fish.
The soba we order every time, and the pork cutlet our child loved

Every time we visit Moshi Moshi, we always order soba (buckwheat noodles). You wouldn't believe how good it is with cool broth and as much wasabi as you like stirred in.

The noodles have a springy, chewy texture that makes the soba even more delicious 🍜

Just looking at it makes your mouth water — golden, crispy-fried pork cutlet.

The meat is thick, so there's a satisfying bite, and it's a great combo with the crispy coating! Our kid ate it up so well.

"Mom — you eat it like this" — our little one putting on a whole performance..🩵💙

The tempura trio included in the set is shrimp, sweet potato, and kabocha squash. The golden color alone looked so appetizing, and the batter was light and crispy — truly delicious.
Final verdict: why Moshi Moshi Sushi suits a family dinner

Every single dish was satisfying and neatly plated, so it was also a pleasure just to look at. Being able to sample a wide variety of dishes made Moshi Moshi, the sushi restaurant near Myeongnyun Station, a great spot for a family dinner with kids.
Check out the fresh ingredients, generous portions, and great value for money too :-)
