Deokseu Gallery, a same-day ID photo studio near Seolleung Station in Gangnam, is located at 401 Teheran-ro in Seoul, making it easy to reach from the station.

Seolleung Station is served by both Line 2 and the Suin-Bundang Line, so public transit access is great, and being right in the heart of the Teheran-ro business district makes it convenient for office workers to drop by. It really did feel like a location made for people who need job application photos, ID photos, or profile photos for work.

There are several other photo studios nearby, but Deokseu Gallery's spot right on Teheran-ro wasn't hard to find at all. It's an easy walk from Seolleung Station, and there are plenty of restaurants and cafés around for before or after your shoot.

They're open Monday through Saturday from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM, with Sundays as a regular closing day. Since they open in the morning, it's easy to swing by before work or after you clock out.

The exterior had a clean look that made it instantly recognizable as a photo studio, and it gave off the feel of a proper professional space for anyone wanting solid ID or profile photos.

The inside of Deokseu Gallery was clean and calm overall.

Since it's a space for ID and profile photos, what stood out was that it wasn't overly decorated — instead it felt organized in a way that let you focus on the shoot itself. Walking in, the layout naturally guides you from getting ready to reviewing the results.

Going in for photos always makes me a little nervous for no reason, but the interior wasn't too stiff, so I could relax bit by bit. If you're not used to being photographed, you might worry about what pose or expression to do — but I liked that the photographer actually guided my posture during the shoot, so I never had to just stand there awkwardly on my own.

Given its spot on Teheran-ro near Seolleung Station, Deokseu Gallery is also a great fit for office workers. Between job application photos, ID photos, and personal profile photos, it seemed like a studio you could use for whatever your purpose is.

What I appreciated most about shooting at Deokseu Gallery was how carefully the photographer worked to get a natural expression and posture out of me.

Even if you're usually pretty natural, standing in front of a studio camera can make your expression stiffen or your posture go awkward without you noticing — but the photographer checked my expression and posture step by step. Rather than just parking me in front of the camera and shooting, they kept adjusting things so a natural look would come through, which made the whole process comfortable.

What stood out especially was that they checked not just my face and upper body posture but even the lines of my clothing, making sure the overall balance in the finished photo looked right. Having even the small details checked made me trust the results more.

Picking and retouching your shot with the photographer at Deokseu Gallery

After the shoot at Deokseu Gallery, I got to sit down with the photographer and compare the photos directly to make my pick.

With several similar-looking shots to choose from, picking the best version of myself turned out to be harder than expected. The expression, eyes, and posture were all slightly different from shot to shot, so I had to think it over — but comparing them one by one was actually pretty interesting.

Best of all, the photographer didn't just pick one photo for me arbitrarily — I got to compare several and choose the one I actually wanted. Even similar-looking shots had subtly different expressions or moods once I looked closely, and laying them all out helped me see which version of myself looked the most natural.

The retouching also brought out the strengths of the photo while keeping it clean, so it was fun watching the final result come together. At Deokseu Gallery, I liked that I got to be hands-on not just in the shoot itself but in picking and finishing the photo, too.

Deokseu Gallery, a same-day ID photo studio near Seolleung Station in Gangnam, is easy to reach from the station and runs both the shoot and the retouching process with real care.

I especially liked how they kept checking to make sure a natural expression and posture came through during the shoot, right down to the lines of my clothes. If you tend to worry about looking awkward in photos, this kind of careful guidance should really help.

I also liked being able to compare several photos myself during retouching and pick the one I liked best. Choosing the best version of myself among similar shots wasn't easy, but it made me feel like I had a real hand in the final result, which was fun.

Located on Teheran-ro with great access for office workers, Deokseu Gallery is a convenient spot for job application photos, ID photos, and profile photos. If you want clean, natural-looking photos, it's a studio worth visiting at least once.
