Busan pork soup with chunky spicy dadaegi: Geumsu Dwaeji Gukbap
Geumsu Dwaeji Gukbap Gyeongseong-Pukyongdae Branch is a pork soup (dwaeji gukbap) restaurant a 5-minute walk from Exit 1 of Kyungsung University-Pukyong National University Station in Nam-gu, Busan. A bowl costs 9,500 won and comes with unlimited rice and noodle refills, and stirring in the chunky, slightly runny dadaegi (chili paste) makes the broth spicy enough to break a sweat. After four years as a regular in this university neighborhood, the writer still rates the clean broth and tender pork highly enough to recommend Geumsu Dwaeji Gukbap on a first visit.
