Suraban Seomyeon (수라반점 서면점) is a Chinese restaurant in Busan, between Bujeon Station and Seomyeon Station and next to Samiheon's new building. The writer and a friend ordered the set for two, with japchae rice (glass noodles over rice), spicy jjamppong (seafood noodle soup) and glutinous-rice tangsuyuk (sweet-and-sour pork), and had drinks with the meal. The japchae rice was rich with black bean paste, the jjamppong broth was smoky and refreshing, and the tangsuyuk had no off smell. Verdict: with generous portions and friendly staff, Suraban Seomyeon is a Seomyeon Chinese restaurant worth a return visit.

Jeonpo tonkatsu with no oily smell and free refills: Katsu Gimseondo

Katsu Gimseondo is a 200-hour aged tonkatsu restaurant in a Jeonpo-dong alley in Busanjin, Busan, a five-minute walk from Jeonpo Station Exit 7.
