Italian restaurant in Gijang, Busan with free wine corkage: Bueokgan

Whenever I visit Shinsegae Busan Premium Outlets, choosing where to eat is almost as much of a consideration as the shopping itself. This time, I wanted somewhere with a nice atmosphere too, so I visited Bueokgan Restaurant (부엌간레스토랑), an Italian restaurant in Gijang. Even though it is inside the outlet, it felt less hectic, and the varied menu of pasta, pizza, and steak made it a great place for a relaxed lunch without worrying about parking. Best of all, you can choose wine next door at WINE CAVE and enjoy up to three bottles with free corkage—that was a major draw for me :)

Bueokgan at Busan Premium Outlets: location and atmosphere

Bueokgan Restaurant is located at the very back of the NORTH 1st floor of Shinsegae Busan Premium Outlets.

Go in by the escalator in front of the UGG store and WINE CAVE will come into view straight ahead. Walk a little farther to the left and you will find Bueokgan :)

The moment I entered, I got a European vintage mood. The lighting, framed pictures, and plants added character throughout the space—it hardly felt like a restaurant inside an outlet.

There was also a generously sized waiting area, so it did not feel cramped even on busy days such as weekends. Even after the usual mealtime, plenty of people were still enjoying their food—just what you would expect of a popular Italian restaurant in Gijang. Since you can use the outlet parking lot, I could eat comfortably without parking worries, and it fit naturally into a Gijang lunch before or after shopping.

Dining with kids and free corkage

Bueokgan is run as a yes-kids zone, with high chairs and children's tableware ready as well. On the weekend I visited, there were quite a few families enjoying lunch in Gijang with their children.

The thing I loved most was Bueokgan's free-corkage service, which lets you bring in an incredible three bottles of wine for free. In keeping with its slogan about promoting a healthy wine culture, being able to pair a favorite wine with good food at no extra cost felt like such a thoughtful touch :)

WINE CAVE next door sells wine and various other alcoholic drinks at relatively affordable prices, so I highly recommend having a look before your meal.

Sweet pumpkin soup and prosciutto pizza

The sweet pumpkin pastry soup hid a sweet, silky pumpkin soup beneath its crisp pastry lid. Breaking off little pieces of pastry and dipping them into the soup made the contrast between crisp and soft even more noticeable.

The nutty pastry and the gentle sweetness of the pumpkin blended softly without either overpowering the other, making this a lovely dish to warm up with before the main meal.

The prosciutto pizza topped with arugula looked so fresh that I kept looking at it.

Tangy tomato sauce covered the chewy dough, along with the fragrant notes of arugula. The salty prosciutto gave the flavor a clear focus, so I could really taste how well each ingredient worked together.

Prosciutto can be a little salty by nature, but eating it with the arugula seemed to balance it out. Add wine and the flavors came alive even more—it felt like a dish worthy of a great Italian restaurant in Gijang.

My top recommendation: anchovy pasta

If I had to pick the dish I enjoyed most, I would recommend the anchovy pasta without hesitation.

There were plenty of plump shrimp among the glossy, oil-coated noodles, and it had the clean appeal distinctive to oil pasta. With one bite, the rich umami unique to anchovies rose behind the light taste of the oil, followed by a subtle spicy kick that naturally made me smile.

The anchovy flavor did not stand out too intensely, so it felt natural, like a familiar savory depth. The springy shrimp added a lovely texture too.

The salty, nutty flavors of the pizza alongside the soft oil pasta and anchovy umami—what a surprisingly great match! I definitely recommend ordering them together.

A Gijang lunch for before or after shopping

Restaurants inside outlets often feel like places to quickly fill up while shopping. But Bueokgan at Busan Premium Outlets was pleasantly unhurried, with well-executed Italian dishes to enjoy.

Above all, being able to pair up to three bottles of wine I love with the meal through free corkage was another huge advantage! It is the Busan Premium Outlets restaurant that comes to mind when I want to enjoy delicious food and wine together. The signature set includes napa cabbage salad, pasta, pizza, and two drinks, so it is generous for two people. If you are looking for lunch in Gijang for a family meal or date, I would love to recommend Bueokgan :)
