Jeonpo curry restaurant: sausage-topped beef cream curry, Sarugak20

I visited through a paid collaboration, but here's my honest review 〰️

Sarugak20 hours and parking near Jeonpo Station

Sarugak20 is open daily from 10:30 to 19:30, with last order at 19:00, and closed every Monday. There's no dedicated parking lot, so if you're driving, you'll need to use a nearby paid parking lot (the public lot near Jeonpo Station)!

If you're taking public transit, it's an easy walk from Jeonpo Station, so the subway might actually be the more convenient option ~

Finding the basement entrance in the Jeonpo alley

Sarugak20 sits tucked inside the Jeonpo alleys, so if it's your first visit, just look for the standing sign out front and you'll find it!

Unlike a typical restaurant where the shop is right in front of you, you have to head down to the basement... which gives it that full hidden-gem-hunting feeling ~ 👀

I say this every time I go, but the interior is really pretty. They also sell cute little props, so if you're traveling and looking for a Jeonpo curry spot, this is definitely worth a visit ~

Inside Sarugak20: vintage mood and prop shelves

Inside, Sarugak20 has a vintage yet cozy vibe, with postcards, accessories, and fabric props displayed on one side. There's plenty of floor seating too.

The inside is decorated just as charmingly as the outside haha. The owner is really kind too ~~ Overall it's vintage but warm — it puts your mind at ease~

Especially on one side, there are little props like postcards, accessories, and fabric goods on display, so you come for a meal and end up feeling like you're browsing a prop shop too!! Absolutely perfect..🫶🤍 A great stop when you're traveling in Busan

There was plenty of floor seating ready, and there really were a lot of visiting travelers around..haha Everyone was going "wow, so pretty" and taking photos, which honestly made me proud too...haha Busan really is this good..!!!!

Chef, my heart... The vintage interior is just so good!!

Melon soda topped with vanilla ice cream

At Sarugak20 I ordered melon soda and beef cream curry, and added sausage as a topping!!

The melon soda came out first, before the curry! A scoop of vanilla ice cream sat on top of the deep green soda, so it was full-on Japanese-café vibes even just visually 🍈🍨 It matched Sarugak20's atmosphere so well haha

The fizzy soda carried a sweet melon aroma, and as the ice cream on top slowly melted and mixed in, it got even smoother and sweeter to drink 🫶

If you tap it with a straw, the carbonation bubbles suddenly surge up...haha Looks amazing~~ I got distracted and didn't manage to capture it on camera, so if you order the melon soda, be sure to film this ..>_<

How the beef cream curry with sausage topping tastes

Sarugak20's beef cream curry is creamier and softer than typical Japanese-style curry. On top of that, I added sausage as a topping.

And the main dish I ordered was the beef cream curry...haha, the visuals were amazing right..??? I also had them add sausage as a topping haha. It tasted creamier and softer than a typical Japanese-style curry

The rich curry flavor combined with the savory taste of the beef made it even better, and scooping up beef with a generous bite of curry together was just perfect.. squeal🤤

I really enjoyed the half-and-half curry last time too, but the beef cream curry was even better ~~ Highly recommend Sarugak20, a curry restaurant with great atmosphere tucked in the Jeonpo alleys 🍛!!
