What kind of tea café is Suwolgyeonghwa?
Suwolgyeonghwa (수월경화) is an ocean-view tea café on the seafront in Songjeong, Haeundae, Busan. Looking for an ocean-view café in Haeundae? Do you love tea? Then go to Suwolgyeonghwa! The tea here is seriously good. I think this was my fifth visit, counting the ones I paid for myself, and every single time the tea is... delicious... just delicious...
On my first visit I had a green apple tea, but I don't think it's on the menu anymore, so every time since then I've been drinking the melon tea!! My order never changes, while my companion orders something different each time, so we're naturally working our way through the whole menu, hehe.
Where to park at Suwolgyeonghwa
Suwolgyeonghwa has a parking lot! It's not huge, but hey, better than nothing. The nice thing about the Cheongsapo side is that lots of places have parking, and even if they don't, you can park on the roadside. Outside weekend peak hours there are always two or three spots on the roadside, so no worries!
Suwolgyeonghwa's building and floors: is there an elevator?

The main floor of Suwolgyeonghwa is the 3rd floor, and sadly there's no elevator T_T We can just walk up, but for anyone with trouble walking... I'm hoping someday we'll all get super wheelchairs and super legs...
As far as I know, the 2nd floor is where they hold tea one-day classes! I heard NewJeans even filmed something here, but don't quote me on that.

Once you're up on the 3rd floor, grab a menu and find a seat.

Smell the teas at the Suwolgyeonghwa counter
You can also sample the tea scents at the counter. I've never actually done it because I'm too shy, haha. If you're curious about the aromas, definitely give it a try at the counter... Next time I'll sniff them all too!!!!! Then again, I'm going to work through the whole menu anyway, so maybe I don't need to... hehe.

Pretty seats, right? I think that's the group seating. If I ever get the chance, I'll go with a group and sit right there...
What teas are on the Suwolgyeonghwa menu?

The menu at Suwolgyeonghwa, a café in Haeundae! There are so many kinds of tea you don't see just anywhere. There are even more drinks than shown here, so if you're curious, look them up on Naver.
What we ordered: Melomance, Mint Shock and the Dalbodeure box

- Melomance ₩8,500
- Mint Shock ₩8,500
- Dalbodeure box ₩13,000

The photo didn't come out well because of the backlight, but still pretty, right!!!!

Drinking tea while looking at the sea is so nice... ⭐️

The leaves on top of the tea at Suwolgyeonghwa have already been fully steeped, so you just enjoy the scent! Give the cup a little shake and the aroma spreads softly, and it's so good. The scent lasts until you finish and leave, so I'm happy the whole time...
Melomance, my regular order every visit

The Melomance I always drink! If you like melon flavor, I really recommend it... I'm not even that big a fan of melon itself, but I don't know why I love the melon scent so much.
Mint Shock for mint lovers

My companion's Mint Shock. We're both mint people, which is amazing. Most of my friends are anti-mint, haha, so I'm happy to have even one fellow mint fan... ⭐️ If you like mint, another big recommendation! I'd like to make the anti-mint crowd try it too, hehe.
What's in Suwolgyeonghwa's signature Dalbodeure box?

Suwolgyeonghwa's signature Dalbodeure box! I was really surprised the first time I saw it because it's so pretty.

One box, and it's so cute~ The purple one is like sul-tteok (rice cake made with rice wine), and it's my absolute favorite!! The one on the skewer is like injeolmi (roasted soybean powder rice cake), nutty and delicious...

The monaka (wafer filled with red bean paste) wins over people who don't care much for red bean and people who love it alike!!! The soft red bean flavor is the best.

Gamtae (seaweed) financier! My second favorite. Cute, right? You rarely see a gamtae financier even at dessert shops, so Suwolgyeonghwa's desserts have real flair..!

If you like the nutty savoriness of gamtae, please try the gamtae financier... I gave my companion a quarter and ate three quarters myself, because it was so good, haha.
Is Suwolgyeonghwa worth a return visit?

Friendly owners, a great sea view, and watching the Beach Train go by is fun too: that's Suwolgyeonghwa, an ocean-view café in Haeundae! If you're looking for a tea café in Haeundae, do stop by! It's right in front of the sea, so it's also great for a seaside date after your tea!
