Changwon hair salon magic setting perm + first scalp scaling: VOG HAIR

I hadn't been to a hair salon in a while, so my semi-curly hair got frizzier and harder to manage. T_T On top of that, I use a flat iron a lot, so my ends were pretty damaged. I searched for hair salons in Changwon, found VOG HAIR City Seven Branch with great reviews, and went.

I took the stairs up at first, and it turns out I came in through the back door! T_T The main entrance is on the side with the restaurants, like Cheongnyeon Dabang, so keep that in mind when you visit. Don't wander around like I did, and I hope you find it in one go~

Inside VOG HAIR City Seven

The inside of VOG HAIR City Seven was clean and spacious overall. It was the biggest salon I've ever been to. There were lots of designers and really lots of seats!

Volume magic or magic setting perm: which did I choose?

After the consultation I settled on the easy-to-maintain magic setting C-curl perm, and ended up with Noblesse Magic, a Basic Setting Perm and the Nano Heal repair clinic. I had booked the treatment I wanted in advance, but before the consultation they had me fill out a questionnaire to double-check. You can write in detail about the style you want and your usual hair worries, which made talking with the designer much easier.

The designer I booked spent about 5 minutes on a careful consultation before starting. She checked the style I wanted and the current condition of my hair, and explained in detail which treatment would suit me. I was actually torn between volume magic and a magic setting perm, but when I told her I can't style my hair often, she recommended the magic setting perm. She explained it's relatively easy to maintain and the style lasts a long time, so I decided on the magic setting C-curl perm.

In the end I went with Noblesse Magic, a Basic Setting Perm, and the Nano Heal repair clinic for damaged hair.

VOG HAIR scalp check and scalp scaling prices

At VOG HAIR City Seven they do a scalp check before treatment, and scalp scaling comes in ₩10,000, ₩30,000 and ₩50,000 courses. They said they'd check my scalp before the main treatment, so I tried it!

I have thick hair, so they said a lot of flakes and oil had built up on my scalp. I had actually washed my hair before coming, but seeing my scalp and hair on the magnified screen, it was way oilier than I expected, which was a bit of a shock. 😅 So they recommended scalp scaling. I chose the ₩30,000 course, which includes basic scaling plus hair care.

My first scalp scaling

This was my first scalp scaling, and I was very happy with it. First they carefully applied a special solution to my scalp, and it felt cooling from the moment it went on.

Then they put a steam cap on me, left it for a set time, and shampooed. When it was all done, my scalp felt much lighter and refreshed.

After the scaling, before the clinic, they offer a drink, and I picked refreshing orange juice. Thanks to that, I was never thirsty during the whole treatment.

How does the Nano Heal repair clinic work?

VOG HAIR's Nano Heal repair clinic had 4 steps in total: protein PPT, hair treatment, oil-moisture balance and a cuticle strengthener. They applied each product carefully, step by step, and it felt like nourishment going into my damaged hair.

Before applying the products, they put a cover over my face so nothing would run down. Seeing that they cared about even the small details, I felt they looked after me thoroughly overall.

Did the magic setting C-curl perm straighten very curly hair well?

My hair is quite curly, but they straightened it carefully during the magic part of the magic setting C-curl perm, and I was satisfied. During the perm they added a towel so it wouldn't be too hot, and kept checking that I was comfortable. Top service 👍

When washing my hair, they first checked whether the water temperature was okay, and the shampoo was gentle. It was as comfortable as a massage, and I felt healed the whole time.

VOG HAIR aroma massage after the treatment

After everything was done, I also got VOG HAIR's aroma massage service. You can pick the aroma yourself, and I chose rosemary. The massage lasted about 2–3 minutes and loosened my shoulders and neck, which were stiff from sitting so long. It felt great. I liked that they took care of me right up to the very end.😊

Compared with my hair before, the frizzy semi-curly hair is neatly tamed, the C-curl went in nicely, and the overall look is much tidier.
