Open-kitchen pasta restaurant in Hanam: pizza dough dip, Bokkeriu

The weather was gorgeous, so I headed out to Hanam for a drive. I wanted a nice lunch somewhere with good atmosphere, and after some dithering I picked Bokkeriu, a Hanam pasta spot. It's already famous as a date place, so I drove to Misa with high hopes. It's near the Han River, so it's a great drive, too.

Is parking easy at Bokkeriu?

Bokkeriu in Misa, Hanam has its own building parking lot, and there's a really big lot right across the street, so it's very convenient by car. No parking worries at all, which was a relief.

It's easy to find and easy to reach by car, so I think I'll be coming often.

What's the atmosphere like inside Bokkeriu?

Inside, you can see a green outdoor garden through the wide, open windows.

The interior is clean and classy, and it put me in a good mood the moment I walked in. The tables are spaced widely, so it feels private!

Even the soft music was perfect, and I immediately understood why it's so famous as a Hanam date spot. Haha. It's ideal for couples.

Waiting time, service and the open kitchen

It was a weekend lunch, so I worried a little about a wait, but the restaurant is big and we could relax. We ordered at the table, and the staff were so friendly that I felt treated like a guest throughout the meal.

With the open kitchen you can watch the chefs cook with care, which builds trust, and the clean upkeep stood out. Well-organized service, as you'd expect from a Hanam pasta favorite!

Bokkeriu menu and price range

The menu runs from pasta to risotto to pizza, so choosing is half the fun. I wanted everything and got a bit greedy.

My appetite exploded the second I saw the menu. Haha. Prices are reasonable overall, so ordering a variety isn't a burden. The food is made by chefs who studied Italian cooking, so the taste felt guaranteed.

Ricotta cheese salad and handmade jambon-beurre pasta

The ricotta cheese salad came first, and the fresh vegetables with the thick, creamy cheese were amazing. A perfect start. Pure freshness that wakes up your appetite!

The handmade jambon-beurre pasta (ham and butter) was a flavor I'd never had. You pop the yolk and eat it with the salty ham and the noodles, and the harmony was crazy good. It tasted even better than it looked, I was moved. 🥹 The noodles were cooked just right, too.

What does Bokkeriu's shrimp bisque risotto taste like?

The shrimp bisque risotto at Bokkeriu has such a strong shrimp aroma that every bite made me say wow. The flavor is really deep. I ended up scraping up every bit of the sauce.

Margherita pizza with a dough-dipping sauce, and plum ade

The last dish, the margherita pizza, had chewy dough and fresh cheese, a perfect finish.

They also gave us a sauce for dipping the leftover pizza dough, and it was so, so good!! Haha.

A glass of plum ade alongside was perfect. It cuts the richness, a winning combo. 🩷

Is Bokkeriu good for family gatherings, not just dates?

Bokkeriu, a Hanam pasta favorite, gets both taste and atmosphere right.

Besides dates, it works fine for family gatherings or a special time with friends. After eating, I took a walk along the Han River at Paldang👍 and it was truly healing. Bokkeriu is the best to visit in weather like this.

I could feel care in every dish, so the whole meal was a happy time. ✨ Good value too, so I'm satisfied. I can't help but vouch for it as a Hanam pasta favorite.
