Dog-friendly Seongsu restaurant with a cooled terrace: Huirit, Seoul
In short
Huirit is a Western restaurant in a converted house in Seongsu, Seoul, a five-minute walk from Seoul Forest Station Exit 1. Dogs are not allowed inside Huirit, but the first-floor outdoor terrace welcomes them, and the elephant-shaped air conditioner at each table kept the terrace cool even outdoors. Spicy tomato ragu fettuccine, rosé shrimp risotto and an iced dutch coffee rounded off an easy date with a dog in tow.

Looking for somewhere nice to take someone special over the weekend, I stumbled on a spot I really loved haha. It felt like the perfect course for a romantic mood, so I figured this had to be the pick for a great Seongsu date restaurant this time!
Where Huirit is and where dogs can sit
Huirit is a Western restaurant tucked in a Seongsu backstreet, a 5-minute walk from Seoul Forest Station Exit 1. Dogs aren't allowed indoors, but the outdoor terrace seating is pet-friendly. It was so easy to find, too, a hidden date spot and restaurant in the Seongsu alleys haha.

The building used to be a house, so even the exterior had that cozy feel.

Elephant air conditioners on Huirit's first-floor terrace

Walking through the door, the cozy yet exotic atmosphere hit me right away and I couldn't help but gasp haha.

Huirit has terrace seating on both the first and second floors!

The first-floor outdoor terrace in particular is pet-friendly, so we got to sit comfortably with our lovely Ppuppu haha.

The weather's getting nicer and cooler now, but for this successful date at a Seongsu restaurant, every table had its own cool elephant-shaped air conditioner, so we enjoyed it comfortably outdoors with zero worries about heat. Amazing, right!
Does Huirit take reservations, and how do you order?

Huirit's reservation system was well set up so there was no waiting, and each table had a convenient ordering method — tablets indoors, QR codes outdoors.

The atmosphere was great, and the staff were so kind and attentive too, which made me feel really good haha.

The menu was mostly Western dishes like pasta, risotto and steak, and the prices were reasonable, not intimidating at all ^^
What the spicy tomato ragu fettuccine tastes like

We ordered the spicy tomato ragu fettuccine, rosé shrimp risotto, and a refreshing iced dutch coffee!

Living up to its reputation as a popular date-course restaurant in Seongsu, the spicy tomato ragu fettuccine's looks alone were insane haha.

The thick, spicy tomato sauce soaked completely into the noodles, and I gasped the moment I took my first bite haha.

The noodles had a chewy texture and were loaded with meat topping, so the more I chewed, the richer and more savory it got. Amazing! 👍
Rosé shrimp risotto and iced dutch coffee at Huirit

Next, the rosé shrimp risotto was generously loaded with big shrimp, and the balance between cream and tomato was really harmonious ^^

The texture melted right in my mouth, so I couldn't put my spoon down during this wonderful date at a great Seongsu restaurant haha.

The iced dutch coffee we sipped between bites was clean and crisp, pure and simple!

Fragrant and cool, it cut right through the richness haha. A perfect combo right to the end, so satisfying ㅠㅠ
Is Huirit worth it for a Seongsu date with a dog?

Needless to say the food tasted great, and the portions were quite generous too, so I was full! Being able to relax with our beloved dog Ppuppu in that cozy house-converted atmosphere made the whole experience really happy and perfect haha.
If you're looking for a can't-miss date spot or restaurant in the Seongsu area, I highly recommend it for a special day out with friends! And if you're looking for a great pet-friendly place, definitely stop by ^^
