Songdo café with tree-view windows & Dwaejiba cookie: Standard Square
In short
Standard Square is a café in the World Mark Prugio Complex 1 shops on Keonbensia-daero in Songdo, Incheon, serving cookies baked in-store and coffee roasted in-house. On a Friday afternoon with her older sister, the writer tried walnut dark chocolate, salted peanut butter and Dwaejiba (named after a Korean ice cream bar) cookies with an Americano and a tropical iced tea, and named the Dwaejiba cookie the best. At ₩4,700 a cookie Standard Square isn't cheap, but the floor-to-ceiling tree views and 3 hours of parking support make it a Songdo cookie café worth a return visit.

A review of Standard Square, a Songdo cookie favorite. An honest rundown of the three cookies baked in-store, the house-roasted coffee, the best-of-the-bunch Dwaejiba cookie, the big-window tree view and the 3 hours of parking.

I was hunting for a good cookie spot in Songdo and ended up at Standard Square. It's known for cookies baked in the shop and coffee roasted in-house. The short version: the cookies and the coffee were both great, and the tree view through the big windows was so nice that I already want to go back.

Where is Standard Square in Songdo, and what's the vibe?
Standard Square, a Songdo cookie favorite: exterior, interior and menu

Standard Square is at 50 Keonbensia-daero, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, on the first floor of the World Mark Prugio Complex 1 shops. It's set back from the road, so it's a bit far from the subway: about a 28-29 minute walk from Kaempeoseutaun Station or Incheon National University Station. Driving is easier, and I'll cover parking below. I stopped by around 2 p.m. on a Friday with my older sister.
The interior is clean white with blue accents. Nothing flashy, but it's cozy and a nice place to sit for a while. We took a blue velvet bench by the big window, and the view of a row of street trees outside was so easy on the eyes. The staff were friendly too, and they brought our order to the table, which was convenient.

What cookies does Standard Square bake?
The display case had about twelve kinds of cookies the day I went: strawberry bar, caramel pecan, hazelnut and walnut dark chocolate, black sesame, salted peanut, Lotus s'mores, Oreo s'mores, pistachio ganache, matcha macadamia, blueberry crumble cream cheese and red velvet cream cheese. So many choices!
A sign said the desserts are baked in the shop every day with ingredients like organic flour, grade-1 antibiotic-free eggs, French chocolate and fresh cream, and organic sugar.

They roast their own beans too, and brew four house blends plus decaf in the shop. Beans are also sold, starting in the ₩14,000 range.
What we ordered at Standard Square and the prices
- Americano ₩5,200
- Tropical iced tea ₩7,000
- Walnut dark chocolate cookie ₩4,700
- Dwaejiba cookie ₩4,700
- Salted peanut butter cookie ₩4,700
I picked three cookies: walnut dark chocolate, salted peanut butter and Dwaejiba (named after a Korean strawberry-chocolate ice cream bar), all ₩4,700 each. For drinks, an Americano (₩5,200) and a tropical iced tea (₩7,000). They bring everything to your seat once you order.

Walnut dark chocolate cookie
The walnut dark chocolate cookie is nutty with big chunks of walnut, and the bittersweet dark chocolate keeps it from getting heavy. I thought it would be a plain chocolate cookie, but there was way more walnut than I expected.

Salted peanut butter cookie
The salted peanut butter cookie has whole peanuts baked in, so every bite hits you with that nutty flavor. It's sprinkled with salt on top, which makes a great sweet-and-salty combo.

The best pick: the Dwaejiba cookie
The tastiest of the three was the Dwaejiba cookie. Inside a rich chocolate dough loaded with Valrhona powder are a strawberry base and cream cheese, and it honestly tasted like the real Dwaejiba ice cream bar. I packed one to take to my niece and she ate the whole thing. Even once it cooled, the chocolate dough stayed fudgy and still tasted good.
The downside: at ₩4,700 per cookie, getting three plus drinks adds up quickly. Still, considering the size and ingredients, the price made sense to me.

How are the coffee and drinks at Standard Square?
The Americano is brewed with the Standard Blend, with notes of dried plum, roasted almond, caramel, dark chocolate and brown sugar. The acidity isn't overdone and the body is heavy; it's less acidic than a franchise Americano, so it goes down easy. Next time I'd like to try it hot.
The tropical iced tea is red, with a fresh, sweet tropical fruit aroma. It's caffeine-free, so it's great for late afternoons.
Standard Square parking and opening hours
For parking, use the underground lot of World Mark Prugio Complex 1. If you register at the café, 3 hours are covered, so you can relax. Since it's far from the station, I recommend going by car.
It's open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., so late afternoon or evening works too. But there aren't many seats, so personally I thought it looked tough for a long laptop session.

Frequently asked questions
Which Standard Square cookie is the best?
For me it was the Dwaejiba cookie. It's Standard Square's signature: rich chocolate dough with a strawberry base and cream cheese that tastes like the Dwaejiba ice cream bar.
Does Standard Square have parking?
Use the underground lot of World Mark Prugio Complex 1 and register at the café for 3 hours covered. That's pretty generous for a Songdo café.
How good is the coffee at Standard Square?
It's brewed with house-roasted Standard Blend, and the acidity wasn't overdone while the body was heavy. There's decaf too, and if caffeine is a worry, the tropical iced tea is a good pick.
Standard Square in one line
Standard Square: in-store baked cookies at ₩4,700 each plus house-roasted coffee. Best was the Dwaejiba cookie, and with the big-window tree view and 3 hours of parking, I'd go back.

Standard Square's cookies are thick and come in so many kinds that picking is half the fun, and the Dwaejiba cookie is the one I remember most. With the big-window tree view and friendly staff, the mood was cozy. At ₩4,700 a cookie it adds up if you grab several, but considering the ingredients and size, it's a Songdo cookie spot I'd happily visit again.
Hours, prices, menu and parking details are as of my visit and may change. If you're looking for a Songdo café where you can enjoy cookies and coffee together, it's worth putting on your list.
