Western restaurant near Olympic Park for dinner with kids: Hope So

Hope So is a two-story Western restaurant near Bangi Station and Olympic Park in Songpa, Seoul. On an early-evening visit with a child, the writer ordered Margherita pizza, spicy cream jjamppong (chili seafood noodle soup) and beef brisket soy cream risotto, and the staff brought out kid-sized dishware and a drink unasked. With high ceilings and room on both floors, Hope So works for date nights, group dinners and family meals alike, and the writer plans to return.

Cheonan kid-friendly café with whole-wheat chicken sandwich: Pino Cafe

Pino Cafe Cheonan is a large outdoor garden café in Pungse-myeon, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan, at the foot of Mount Taehaksan. In late August the writer walked the garden of yellow cosmos and a red windmill, then shared the signature whole-wheat chicken sandwich set with an iced Americano, which filled up two people for lunch. With baby chairs, a diaper-changing table and a microwave, Pino Cafe Cheonan is an especially easy stop for a family outing with young kids.
