After dropping the kids off at school and daycare, I finally took a walk along Bulgwangcheon with a friend for the first time in a while. We got hungry on the way, so we headed to Oreno Ramen in Eungam-dong for lunch. I'd actually been once before with my husband on this friend's recommendation, and I remembered it being delicious, so I wanted to come back.
This time I used my Super Members benefit and went with my friend, and even after a long gap it was a satisfying meal again ^^ I could feel once more why Oreno Ramen in Eungam-dong is so loved as a great ramen spot in Eunpyeong-gu 😊

How many items are on the Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong menu?
There are just two: tori paitan and karai paitan. The short menu actually made the place feel more professional to me. It got me even more excited, haha.

Atmosphere and how to order at Oreno Ramen in Eungam-dong
Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong, a ramen shop near Bulgwangcheon, has the cozy feel of a Japanese ramen shop, and you order at a kiosk.

Stepping inside, I felt that cozy Japanese ramen shop atmosphere. The whole place was kept clean, and the customers ranged from solo diners to families and couples.

Ordering is easy through the kiosk, so even first-time visitors won't have any trouble.

How did the tori paitan and karai paitan taste?
Oreno's signature tori paitan and karai paitan are both chicken-broth ramen, each with its own charm. The rich flavor hit me from the very first spoonful, and it wasn't too salty or greasy, so I could enjoy it to the end~
The friend I went with is really good at cooking, and she raved about the broth and the noodles :) The noodles were so chewy!! I wondered how you'd even boil them to get this result. The noodles and broth went together so well, and the chicken breast was cooked tender, almost falling apart in your mouth. The toppings blended in nicely too, so we emptied our bowls in no time. If you like Japanese-style ramen, you'll be very happy here!! haha

Tori paitan and karai paitan. You can sense the rich broth just by looking at them.

Is the karai paitan very spicy?
When you stir the karai paitan gently, the red broth spreads out, but despite how it looks, it isn't spicy at all. It's a rich, smooth broth, so I enjoyed it to the last drop. It's even better when you eat the toppings and noodles together. Yum~😋

I split the soft-boiled egg in half and let the yolk melt a little into the broth, which made it even nuttier and smoother :)

Does Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong offer noodle refills?
You can refill the noodles for free at Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong, which made it even better. One bowl felt like not enough, and being able to refill let me have a hearty meal. I think people with big appetites will be very happy here too :)

My friend and I both got refills and cleaned out our bowls, so it was a very satisfying meal. The rich broth and chewy noodles never got old, and I understood why so many people recommend Oreno Ramen in Eungam-dong as a great ramen spot in Eunpyeong-gu😊
