Baedagol Bakery House (배다골베이커리하우스) is a big café in Goyang where we went for our date. It looks like a great place to sit outside when the weather turns cool!!! First of all, the parking lot is huge, which was so convenient and nice~

Baedagol Bakery House is a large bakery café inside Baedagol Theme Park on Hoguk-ro in Deogyang-gu, Goyang. My boyfriend and I headed toward Ilsan for a drive-and-date day after a long while, and this was a place I'd been curious about for ages.

The moment we arrived I thought, oh, my mom would love this, you know? And sure enough, it's a paradise for moms haha. Every time I passed by, the sheer size of it caught my eye.

I finally visited this time and came back happier than I expected! First off, the service was great. They have a microwave ready so you can warm up your bread, and bread is discounted in the evening, among other perks!!!

Hours and seating

Baedagol Bakery House is open daily from 10:00 to 21:00, and there are seats on both the 1st and 2nd floors. Going to a big café on a date can mean parking stress, but here that worry was small, which I liked.

There's also an outdoor garden and a wide terrace, so on a nice day it would be lovely to stroll around. Inside, the floor-to-ceiling windows mean you get a fresh view outside just by sitting there!

Is parking easy at Baedagol Bakery House?

The big parking lot was the first thing that made me happy when we arrived. There was plenty of room, so we parked right away without worrying about finding a space.

How was the fresh mango bingsu?

The most memorable item at Baedagol Bakery House that day was definitely the fresh mango bingsu (shaved ice dessert). The ultimate in sweetness! Fresh mango really is different from frozen~ I ordered it without big expectations, and I fell for it the second it hit my mouth~

It's piled high with yellow fresh mango, with cream in the middle too, so it makes you happy just looking at it. After one bite I thought, "you have to order this."

The mango itself was sweet, so it was plenty tasty without a lot of added syrup, and you could taste the fresh sweetness of the fruit. And finishing with coffee is just perfect! haha Calming down a sugar-sweetened mouth with coffee!

Bread selection and the salt bread

Baedagol Bakery House has a wide range of breads, from salt bread (buttery rolls with a salty crust) to meal breads, and it was as satisfying as the bingsu. I agonized over what to pick for a long time. (We came right after a meal.. so honestly I was full.) The bread is crisp outside and moist inside, so it goes well with coffee.

There were lots of breads, but after much thought I ordered the salt bread!!! My boyfriend loved it, saying it was full of butter aroma~

Is there room to sit?

That said, the place is big and popular, so on weekends or busy hours seats might get a bit tight.

We went on a weekday and it was already full of people, with hardly any empty seats. That's how popular this café is!!!

How much for two? Price and will I return

The two of us ordered fresh mango bingsu, bread and drinks at Baedagol Bakery House, and it came to about ₩34,000. It's not exactly cheap going by price alone, but considering the portions and quality, I was quite satisfied. If it were near my home? I'd definitely go all the time!
