Jeju black pork restaurant with 600g raw ribs, last trip night: Pork80
In short
Pork80 Jeju Airport Branch is a Nanchuk Matdon native Jeju black pork restaurant in Nohyeong-dong, Jeju City. Arriving on foot on the last night of the trip, the couple ordered one geun (600g) of raw ribs hand-cut from Jeju bone-in pork belly and grilled tableside by staff, then finished with yeolmu guksu (young radish noodles) made with somyeon from the 50-year-old Jeju Dongnam Guksu. The thick, juicy raw ribs and the meljorim (braised anchovy sauce) at Pork80 are already worth missing.

Pork80 Jeju Airport Branch, a black pork restaurant near Jeju Airport.
Why we chose Pork80 for black pork near Jeju Airport
This time we were going to skip meat, but the sparrow just couldn't pass by the mill haha. Let me introduce Pork80, a black pork restaurant near Jeju Airport known for its meat quality and tableside grilling service — even Choiza approved of it.
Parking at Pork80: a 3-hour voucher for the nearby paid lot
We went on foot, but apparently if you park at the Wonnohyeong 3-gil 25 paid lot, they'll give you a 3-hour parking voucher! Parking near Jeju Airport is no small thing, so this is such a nice touch.
They've hung a huge banner saying it's a restaurant Choiza recommends, the kind that would stop you in your tracks even just passing by.

Pork80 is on the 1st floor! The lighting is pretty and my heart was already bouncing before we even walked in.
Inside Pork80: the room and the meat display case
Pork80 Jeju Airport Branch has a fairly spacious interior — I tried to frame the shots avoiding other customers as much as possible. If you reserve ahead, it'd be even more comfortable to use. It has a slightly retro vibe, and the black pork cuts are displayed like at a proper butcher's restaurant, showing off their fine texture.

The friendly staff's service also felt great — this is a black pork restaurant near Jeju Airport worth remembering!
Nanchuk Matdon black pork and the meljorim side dish
Pork80 uses black pork that they age and prep themselves. The basic side dishes are set, and the meljeot (fermented anchovy) comes as real meljorim in a stew bowl — you could probably mix it right into rice. Not all black pork is the same; Pork80 properly handles Nanchuk Matdon, Jeju's native black pork breed, and places like this are hard to find even within Jeju. Anyone who wants to properly try black pork will likely love this.

600g of raw ribs, grilled tableside by Pork80 staff
The charcoal and today's order — a geun (600g) of raw ribs — arrived. (Meat hand-sliced from Jeju bone-in pork belly.) Such a smart touch that the grill lets the smoke escape to the side! These little details are exactly what make you come back, right?

Scallions and mushrooms get grilled alongside the raw ribs.
As instructed, our first bite went into the matcha salt, then the next few into the fresh wasabi. The staff grilled each piece carefully and alternated plating them on our small dishes so we wouldn't fight over them — we got to eat in perfect harmony haha.

The scallions are also a delicacy eaten together with the raw ribs, and dipping them deep into the meljorim is great too — Pork80's fresh raw ribs are as juicy as they are thick. It's clearly a different texture from regular pork belly, nutty and delicious!
There's a separate spot on the grill to rest pieces so they don't burn, so you can safely enjoy warm meat down to the very last bite!

Finishing with yeolmu guksu, the carb ending at Pork80
It was a hearty meat meal, but us Made-in-Korea couple ended up with a carb ending anyway. Round and round we go, and we always land on car.bo.hy.drates. The refreshing yeolmu guksu (cold radish green noodles), using somyeon from the 50-year-old Jeju Dongnam noodle brand, had that spicy, cooling taste that blows away the hot summer.

We slurped down every last bite along with the noodles on our last night in Jeju. Already missing it.
Next visit: Pork80's Nanchuk Matdon bone-in loin, 10 a day
We went too late to try it, but the Nanchuk Matdon bone-in ribeye is only sold in 10 servings a day! 😉 Guess I have to go back to Jeju... 😉 I really recommend trying Jeju's native black pork properly.
