From shampoo to neutralizing, done lying down

The shampoo room had soft, dim lighting, and just lying down there made me relax without meaning to.

I never understand why a short shampoo feels so long when your neck hurts, haha, but here I could lie back comfortably. What stood out most was that the neutralizer was applied while lying down! It was my first time getting the neutralizer step done lying down, and it was more comfortable than I expected. Resting comfortably while it processed made the whole several-hour salon visit feel shorter than it actually was. I think it's these small details that add up to overall satisfaction.

When the treatment finally finished and I looked in the mirror, it was exactly the direction I'd wanted, so I was happy right away.

It wasn't a stiffly straightened bob — it fell softly overall, naturally tidy. Best of all, it seemed like I wouldn't have to fuss over reviving curls every morning like I did with the vintage perm, and that was the best part, haha.
