Tasting menu restaurant in Pangyo, Seongnam: yogurt sorbet at Kkweda
In short
Kkweda Pangyo Avenue France Branch is a fusion tasting-menu restaurant on the main road in front of Pangyo Station Exit 1 in Seongnam, Gyeonggi. For a husband's birthday, the writer returned for the 75,000 won Summer Stamina Course with hanwoo uni maki added, eating through watermelon gazpacho, eel donburi, neungi mushroom duck soup and a yogurt sorbet finish. Kkweda changes its course every season, so it stays worth rebooking for each new anniversary.

Recording my visit to Kkweda, a Pangyo anniversary-worthy Japanese-style omakase spot. Kkweda serves fusion tasting menus made with fresh seasonal ingredients, so every visit feels a little different. I loved it the first time, so I came back for my husband's birthday!
Where is Kkweda Pangyo Avenue France Branch, and how do you book and park?

Come out of Pangyo Station Exit 1 and it's right on the main street facing the Pangyo Station intersection, between Olive Young and a building called 'Pig Mansion.' Great access since it's right by the subway. There's 3 hours of free parking in the underground lot, and you should book ahead through Naver or Catch Table.
I went for dinner, which is split into two seatings at 5 PM and 7 PM. Lunch course reservations are also available. Best to arrive 10 minutes before your course starts!
Inside Kkweda: bar seats, the 6-person table and the private room

Inside, Kkweda has a bar table, a 6-person table, and a private room, so it works well for date nights, group gatherings, and birthday parties. The private room can be booked for 4 to 8 guests, and larger parties can just contact the restaurant directly. The space feels clean and modern with soft lighting and a really nice atmosphere — the high ceilings give it a cool, airy feel too.
How much is the Kkweda course, and what does it include?

Kkweda changes its course menu every season, and this time it's the Summer Stamina Course, built around dishes meant to give you energy through the hot summer. Both lunch and dinner are ₩75,000, and dinner requires ordering one alcoholic drink or beverage per person.
Kkweda's Summer Stamina Course, dish by dish
Watermelon gazpacho

A starter with watermelon, squid, wood sorrel, and Korean melon. The mix of watermelon, squid, and melon textures makes it fun to eat, and the tangy flavor is perfect for waking up your appetite. Isn't it pretty too?

Grilled vegetable salad
A fresh salad with almonds, zucchini, prosciutto, nuts, carrots, and apple. If you sit at the bar table, you get to watch the cooking process up close, which is fun in itself.

Chodang sweet corn custard
This one had chodang sweet corn, scallop, and shallot, and it tasted as good as it looked. The ingredients pair together really well for a distinctive flavor, and the smooth custard cream against the popping corn texture was great! Every dish here is plated so nicely — this place would make a wonderful Pangyo date spot.

Hanwoo uni maki (paid add-on)
I ordered this as an add-on, and the fresh sea urchin with chewy hanwoo (Korean beef) yukhoe was a real treat. Definitely add this one!

Charcoal-grilled Iberico pork
The Iberico pork was juicy without being overly greasy — light and easy to eat, with a nice smoky char flavor coming through. The cheese-baked potato served alongside was memorable too, and the chimichurri kept things tasting clean.

Sea bass karaage
Crispy outside, moist and tender inside — the fried sea bass paired beautifully with the yuzu ponzu sauce.

Eel donburi (rice bowl)
Soft, glossy, moist grilled eel topped with refreshing Korean melon — the contrast made this a real standout, and it felt exactly right for a summer stamina menu. The eel had a savory flavor with zero fishiness, so it was satisfying to eat as a proper meal with rice. Personally my favorite course!

Neungi mushroom duck soup
A broth with deep neungi mushroom flavor, soft noodles, tender duck meat, crunchy mung bean sprouts, and chives — a harmonious, healthy-feeling dish. Between the eel donburi and this duck soup, the meal courses came out really filling.

Yogurt sorbet to finish
A tangy, refreshing yogurt sorbet topped with berry jam — a nice dessert to end the meal on a good note.
