Seongsu Station Exit 3 burger spot, three burgers compared: bd Burger

Today's spot is a great place near Seongsu Station. I feel like I've been eating burgers a lot lately, but they're so good, so what can I do? I have to eat them! (Nobody said anything.) Anyway... this is not a chain burger, it's a handmade burger!

Honestly, a burger is good any time of day. It's also great for eating alone! And the carbs, protein and fat are pretty perfectly balanced, I'd say. So I found another great place.

Where is bd Burger Seongsu, and what are its hours?

bd Burger Seongsu is at 7 Seongsui-ro 14-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on the 2nd floor, and it's open daily 11:30–21:00 (last order 20:30). There's a restroom, and you can rent the space too.

bd Burger Seongsu sits in an alley you reach by walking straight down for about 5 minutes from Seongsu Station Exit 3. It's near Gyeongsu Elementary School. I'd never gone into this alley, so I was like, oh, there was a burger place in here!

I thought it was the ground-floor restaurant next door, but the entrance up to bd Burger is right beside it. Haha, bd Burger is on the 2nd floor! You have to climb stairs, but it's only one floor, so it's quick.

What is inside bd Burger Seongsu, and what's at the self-bar?

As soon as you walk into bd Burger Seongsu there are waiting chairs in front, the self-bar next to them, and table seating further in. If there's a wait, it looks like you sit in these chairs.

There are seats way in the back.

The self-bar next to the waiting seats has all kinds of essentials(?): disposable gloves, wet wipes, utensils, ketchup, water, and soda too! There's cola, zero cola, Sprite-style soda (cider), zero cider and more. You choose a drink at first, and after that it seems you can keep fetching refills yourself.

Next to it is a spot to return your tray. Just leave it there and the staff take care of the details.

They even thoughtfully put out hair ties and dental floss! There seems to be a restroom just for bd Burger too, but I didn't use it, so I can't say what it's like.

The seating area behind that has an unusual, slightly bent layout. There are various 2-person and 4-person tables, and the 2-person tables have an extra chair, which was handy for putting bags and things on.

bd Burger Seongsu menu and set prices

At bd Burger Seongsu you can order burgers as sets or à la carte, and sets run ₩15,900 to ₩18,400. Most of the menu is shrimp burgers, but there are beef patty burgers too.

I'll go by set prices.

After agonizing over what to eat, I picked the bd Wasabi Shrimp set, the Double Cheese Burger set and the Grilled Shrimp Avocado.

With a set, one of eggplant fries (2/3 of the à la carte size) or original fries is free, and the other side costs extra. Soda is unlimited, but swapping to a milkshake is +₩2,900! Other places only have french fries, but here, interestingly, there are eggplant fries and even button mushroom fries! It was so curious that I got one order of fries and one of eggplant fries!

There's a review event too! You get a corn salad for a Google review (one per table). The corn salad is tasty, so write a review and get it!!

Soon after, the burgers I ordered came out~! When the kiosk at your seat shows that your food is ready, you go pick it up. Oh, and they hand you the drinks first.

Oink oink... doesn't it look so good? True to a handmade burger, it's really packed full inside!! Looking at the photo makes me want a burger again. Haha.

How does the bd Wasabi Shrimp burger taste?

The wasabi shrimp burger at bd Burger Seongsu has a really thick shrimp patty, and the wasabi isn't strong, it blends in harmoniously. It's the one I recommend most.

I cut it in half with a knife, and can you see the actual shrimp meat? It's bouncy and has a great chew. This one's so good, highly recommend!

Grilled Shrimp Avocado Burger at bd Burger Seongsu

The grilled shrimp avocado burger has plump shrimp grilled nicely, with plenty of bacon, avocado and vegetables. You can already see all the ingredients, so I didn't take a cross-section, but this one is really, really good too!!

Double Cheese Burger at bd Burger Seongsu

The double cheese burger is a beef patty burger. It's a shrimp specialist, so I wondered how the beef patty burger would be, but it's totally a textbook cheeseburger. Packed with juice.

bd Burger Seongsu sides: corn salad, fries and eggplant fries

At bd Burger Seongsu you can get a corn salad through the Google review event, and I chose fries and eggplant fries as my set sides.

With the review event, this corn salad is free~!

Maybe because the fries come out freshly fried, they felt hotter and tastier.

And the eggplant fries! Honestly I don't like eggplant as a side dish, but well-fried eggplant fries are delicious, so I like those, okay? This place really seems to fry well. The batter is thin and crispy!! Dip it in the sauce they give you and it's so good!! The sauce is like sriracha mayo.. that kind of feel, and it's amazing. It's good on the burger too. Haha.

Who is bd Burger Seongsu best for?

If you're looking for a place to eat alone near Seongsu Station, or somewhere for lunch or dinner, I recommend bd Burger Seongsu, a handmade burger spot that works for a Seongsu date too~!
