A can't-miss brunch café near Boryeong or Daecheon: Green Brownie Boryeong City Hall Branch. I stopped by casually during my trip and fell for its thick handmade hamburger, wonderfully creamy signature cream latte, egg tart, and egg morning roll.

Among the brunch cafés in Boryeong's Myeongcheon-dong, its bakery lineup and great-value set options really stood out.

Outside and Inside the Café

It sits in central Myeongcheon-dong, making it a great stop before or after a drive to Daecheon Beach. Inside, the clean black-and-wood palette and green plants made it such a comfortable place to chat.

The light through the floor-to-ceiling windows is wonderful, so photos come out really well. There is plenty of group seating too, so it looked like a perfectly good gathering spot! High chairs were well provided as well 👏👏👏

The star here was absolutely the handmade hamburger set. Between nicely toasted buns were layers of a thick, juicy patty, cheese, bacon, fresh lettuce, and grilled onion.

One bite brings together the savory patty and juices from the fresh vegetables, with flavor that rivals a specialty burger restaurant. After that substantial burger, a sip of bitter, clean iced Americano is such a perfect match, isn't it? ^^

The signature cream latte was appealing, topped with chewy, thick cream and a dusting of slightly bitter cocoa powder. The cream's softness and rich nuttiness worked beautifully together, giving it depth beyond simple sweetness.

The egg tart was filled with sweet, soft egg custard cream inside crisp pie pastry—the very definition of crisp outside and tender inside 👏👏👏

Handmade Egg Morning Roll to Go

The handmade egg morning roll I packed for when I got hungry had a soft morning roll bursting with fluffy egg-mayo salad. Salty and nutty, it was more than worthy as a Boryeong café brunch menu item.
