This time I went for samgyeopsal (pork belly) in Dujeong-dong at Cham Dwaejitgan Cheonan Dujeong Branch.

Inside Cham Dwaejitgan and its double-layer grill plate
Cham Dwaejitgan Cheonan Dujeong Branch had that BBQ-joint look from the outside. Black background, red sign — easy to spot even at night,

and the banners near the entrance gave a preview of the events and menu.

Inside, each table has its own grill and vent.
Wait, the grill plate is shaped weirdly wide — turns out the right side is for the meat and the left side is set up for grilling kimchi and vegetables! Personally I loved that they don't mix haha
Table spacing was less cramped than expected. Group seating goes from a minimum of 6 up to 60, so worth checking if you're looking for a Dujeong-dong dinner spot.
The menu and how the 2+1 meat deal works

The menu is split into a Jirisan black pork line and a Boseong green pork line. We ordered two servings of Boseong green pork belly, three servings of black pork ogyeopsal, doenjang stew (soybean paste stew), Jirisan kudzu cold noodles, and two soy-egg rice bowls. We really went for it haha.

If you order 2 servings of meat, you get 1 free — a 2+1 deal! Just so you know~

The basic side dishes were varied and the utensils were kept hygienically — a nice touch at this place!!

Worth checking out the sauce options too.
Boseong green pork belly grilled tableside over charcoal
We started with the Boseong green pork belly. The color was vivid, and the fat-to-meat ratio looked good.
Cham Dwaejitgan emphasizes rice-husk smoking and direct charcoal grilling, so the aroma while it cooked was lovely, and having staff grill it for us made things easy. The pork belly browned nicely on the outside with the fat getting slightly crispy!
Just a dip of salt was clean on its own, and a bit of wasabi cut through the richness enough that I kept reaching for more haha
Black pork ogyeopsal: why the crisp skin is the highlight
For the black pork ogyeopsal, the skin texture is the highlight! It's a bit heartier than the pork belly, with a chewy quality that builds as you chew — a solid pick if you're after Korean BBQ recommendations ღ It's fresh with scallion shreds, and with grilled kimchi it's the classic combo. Meat really does need kimchi next to it lol🔥
Sides at Cham Dwaejitgan: steamed egg, doenjang stew and two soy-sauce egg rice bowls
Steamed egg and doenjang stew are practically automatic orders when eating BBQ.
It came out bubbling hot, perfect for a spoonful after a few bites of meat.

We ordered two soy-egg rice bowls — the combo of seaweed flakes, egg, and soy sauce was perfect for topping with a piece of meat. It's a more fun side than plain rice, so I'd recommend at least one ✦ (we're total foodies so we got two) lol
Finishing with Jirisan kudzu cold noodles
We finished with Jirisan kudzu cold noodles. Spicy-sweet sauce, chewy noodles, and a piece of meat on top — nothing more to explain haha
The sauce wasn't overpowering, more just enough to pair with the meat, so it stayed clean all the way to the end.
Milk thistle with your drinks? The ₩0 extras

When we first ordered drinks, wait, what is this?! They give you a milk thistle liver supplement too?! I couldn't resist that, so I ended up drinking more than planned haha
One corner of the restaurant had a sign for free (₩0) services — hair ties, floss, deodorizer, wifi, and more.

Having those little essentials ready for when you leave after a meat meal is a nice touch :) It's open late so it works as a spot for pork belly and drinks in Dujeong-dong, and with group seating available it's worth considering for anyone looking for a dinner venue.
