A Dunpo meat restaurant busy even before lunch

Ilpum Chamsut Galbi in Dunpo is famous as a true local favorite that everyone in town knows. That is why it is always packed whenever we go. We visited before lunchtime that day, yet there were already so many people.
Why it is great for eating out with children

Most tables at this Dunpo favorite seemed to be families visiting with children. There are plenty of high chairs, and the menu has sweet pork galbi that children enjoy, stone-pot rice, corn cheese, and steamed egg—such a perfect place to eat out. My child likes this place best, so we stop by every time we come to Dunpo.
Ordering pork galbi and dessert dishes

This Dunpo restaurant is famous for pork galbi, though it also has plenty of other choices, including samgyeopsal (pork belly) and pork neck. We ordered three servings of pork galbi, stone-pot rice, and dessert doenjang-jjigae (soybean-paste stew). The dessert dishes are reasonably priced too, which makes this Dunpo restaurant even better.
Are these side dishes for real?

The side dishes are such a work of art here that they make me want to come back again. There was a salad everyone from children to adults would enjoy, plus skate, seasoned raw crab, steamed egg, and corn cheese—my satisfaction was at its peak. Even just eating rice with the side dishes was delicious. Such a happy place!
What does the charcoal-grilled pork galbi taste like?

The pork galbi at Ilpum Chamsut Galbi in Dunpo is truly special. It is seasoned just right, and grilling it over gentle charcoal brings out even more savory flavor.

Once it is grilled over charcoal, you can taste the true appeal of pork galbi that satisfies both children and adults. The seasoning is spot-on, and it is exceptionally moist and tender.

Because the galbi was so delicious, every combination tasted amazing. It was delicious wrapped in ssam (leaf wraps), and just as wonderful with pickled onions or fresh geotjeori kimchi.
Even my child eats ssam?

At this Dunpo favorite, my child was so taken with the flavor that they even made lettuce wraps. The moist, sweet galbi was simply honey-sweet deliciousness—no further explanation needed.
Be sure to order the dessert stone-pot rice and doenjang stew

For dessert, we always order stone-pot rice and dessert doenjang stew. At ₩2,000, it is easy on the wallet, which makes it even better. The freshly cooked stone-pot rice is so delicious that even my child eats more than half a bowl.

The doenjang stew is generously filled with tofu, vegetables, and freshwater snails, so it is hard to believe it costs ₩2,000. Even just the doenjang stew and stone-pot rice made us incredibly satisfied. Ilpum Chamsut Galbi, this Dunpo meat restaurant, is the kind of true local favorite that somehow tastes even better every time we go.

Ilpum Chamsut Galbi is a true local favorite in Dunpo, always bustling with locals. We seek it out every time we go to Dunpo because we are so satisfied with everything, from the side dishes to the meat and rice. I highly recommend Ilpum Chamsut Galbi in Dunpo!
