They carefully prepare a seasonal table spread. The flounder hoe looked so good even in the photo.

The signboard reading "powerful air conditioning" is really appealing. It's cooled down a bit, but the daytime is still pretty hot.

It's right next to a public parking lot, so parking is really convenient, and there was plenty of street parking too. If you park in the public lot, they can help cover the fee.

Inside at 11:30am on a weekend

They open at 11am, and by the time we arrived around 11:30am on a weekend, several tables were already freshly filled!! Customers kept steadily coming in while we ate too. It felt like mostly families dining out. Recommended for a hearty meal during the day and a hearty drinking spot at night.

There are side dishes for mixing and separate rice side dishes, and when you toss zucchini, bracken, carrot, and bean sprouts into the mixing bowl with the crab meat and stir it all together — how could that not be delicious?

The japchae (glass noodle stir-fry) and stir-fried pork that came as basic rice side dishes were tasty too, and since I love fish cake side dishes, I enjoyed that one as well.

Stir-fried pork and fried egg, yum yum. The fried egg was for our kids! This is a Dongcheon-dong, Gwangju restaurant that's great for lunch and cheap, filling home-style meals — good to bring kids along to??

They ate well when we gave them the fried egg, the fried shrimp🦐🦐 we got from the review event, and some of the sweet stir-fried carrot from the side dishes together. The fried shrimp was crispy and really delicious too.

Picked crab meat...🦀🦀🦀 makes my mouth water.. this has got to be a total rice thief, right?

The blue crab and clam stew that comes with the set for two

The crab meat set (for two) comes with this stew to enjoy alongside it. It was really delicious too (that broth... total hangover cure). Really cool, spicy, with big chunks of blue crab and clams, plus plenty of fish flesh.

Take the neatly picked seasoned crab meat~ throw in plenty of egg and veggies, add the seasoning sauce and sesame oil, and mix mix. It was so good we finished everything, added one more bowl of rice, and left without leaving anything behind haha.

Who Bada Han Geureut is best for

Bada Han Geureut is great value and comes with generous, delicious portions, so I recommend it. It's even better to go with kids, and it's a great pick for a family meal out (also good for evening drinks or a dinner gathering!)
