Jamsil Saenae lash salon: 3-length lash mix by eye shape, Rose Lash

With lash extensions, how pretty they turn out matters, but I quietly pay a lot of attention to how thorough the consultation is. Everyone's eye shape is different, and so are their natural lash length and density, so I prefer a place that designs the set to fit my eyes rather than sticking on the same design for everyone.

At Rose Lash in Jamsil-saenae, they asked in detail about the style I wanted right from the first consultation, and they were really kind throughout the treatment, so I left feeling great :)

Where is Rose Lash?

Rose Lash is at 21 Ollimpik-ro 12-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul, about a 3-minute walk from the subway station, so it was easy to find.

Rose Lash is on the 5th floor of the building. The Rose Lash sign is visible from outside, so even on my first visit I found it without trouble.

What is the inside of Rose Lash like?

The interior is white and cream throughout, so it felt very bright and clean.

There are curtains between the beds, so each space is separated during treatment. Once you lie down for lash extensions, you have to keep your eyes closed for quite a long time, right? So I think the condition of the space matters more than you'd expect, and it was comfortable and not stuffy at all, so I could lie back and relax.

Design consultation for your eye shape: short at the front, long in the middle

What I liked most at Rose Lash was the design consultation. Instead of just attaching the longest, fullest lashes possible, they looked at the length and shape of my eyes first and set the front a little shorter and the middle longer.

Rather than using one length all the way through, they mixed three lengths in the design. Maybe because of that, the finished look didn't feel artificially uniform; it fanned out naturally along my eye shape, which looked pretty.

How much do lash extensions cost at Rose Lash?

Looking at the Rose Lash price list, there were quite a few options depending on how full you want your lashes. This time I went with Premium fiber 200% for ₩95,000.

My natural lashes aren't very thick, so I told them I wanted a slightly more defined, fuller look. From what they explained, 200% means extending two lashes onto each single natural lash.

• Black Coating Tangle Tint Perm: ₩50,000

There are several kinds of lash perms too. If your lashes are sparse like mine and you want a slightly fuller feel, it might be good to decide the ratio after a consultation.

Was the treatment comfortable?

At Rose Lash they tidied the area under the eyes and placed the pads carefully, so I was comfortable throughout. The under-eye pad position is something you quietly worry about during lash extensions, right? If it's even slightly uncomfortable, it bothers you the whole time your eyes are closed, but Rose Lash kept the under-eye area neat during the treatment.

They placed several pads carefully and checked now and then whether anything felt uncomfortable, which made it easy. Above all, the technician was very kind from start to finish, so I had no reason to tense up and just kept my eyes closed and relaxed haha

How did my eyes look before and after the extensions?

After the Premium fiber 200% extensions, my eye line was clearly more defined, and because the front and middle lengths differ, it looked natural rather than heavy. They were thorough, so I think it took a reasonable amount of time. Before, my lashes were short and my eyes looked a little flat; after the extensions, the eye line was definitely sharper.

But it wasn't too heavy or overwhelming like I'd worried, and I liked that the different front and middle lengths blended naturally into my eye shape.

Aftercare sheet and lash comb

At Rose Lash I received an aftercare instruction sheet and a lash comb, which was a really thoughtful touch! Lash extensions tangle easily afterward, and I think tidying them up regularly helps them last longer.
