Vintage photo-zone corner at a Gijang outlet restaurant: Bueokgan
In short
Bueokgan Restaurant is a European-style Italian restaurant on the first floor of Shinsegae Simon Busan Premium Outlets in Jangan-eup, Gijang, Busan. On a shopping break we used the table order system for arugula prosciutto pizza at 24,000 won, pastry soup at 10,000 won and shrimp rosé pasta at 20,000 won, and the entrance corner styled with a vintage cabinet and framed pictures works as a photo zone on its own. Bueokgan is a good choice when you want shopping and a meal with real atmosphere in one trip.

Today I want to introduce a special restaurant I stumbled on while out shopping in Gijang, Busan — the kind of place that gives you a little burst of "wait, am I in Europe?" excitement. It's Bueokgan (BUUK) at the Shinsegae Premium Outlets Busan branch. The California-style exterior paired with the cozy interior made it the perfect stop in the middle of shopping!

Bueokgan (BUUK)

Bueokgan is located at 1133 Jeonggwan-ro, 1st floor unit 180, Shinsegae Premium Outlets Busan, Jangan-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan. Hours are Mon–Fri 10:30–20:30 (last order 20:00) and Sat–Sun 10:30–21:00 (last order 20:30).
Parking is very convenient — the outlet has plenty of space in both its indoor and outdoor lots, and it's free.
The vintage entrance corner that doubles as a photo zone
The corner just past the entrance is the first thing that catches your eye at Bueokgan. Once the automatic doors open, a space much warmer and cozier than it looks from outside unfolds in front of you.

The first thing that grabbed my attention was this quirky corner! A vintage steel cabinet that looks like an old post office mailbox, with a framed sketch of the French 'Cafe du Bon Coin' hanging above it. Once the stand lamp lit up, the lush monstera leaves around it completed a perfectly aesthetic photo.

Inside Bueokgan: the main hall and open kitchen
Head a little further in and you reach the spacious, comfortable main hall. The layout is really optimized for a relaxed meal before or after shopping.
Neat wooden tables and chairs are arranged tidily, and the cute rail lighting on the ceiling sets a warm mood. You can catch a glimpse of the chefs cooking in the open kitchen at the back, which adds a bit of trust. It's set up thoughtfully for family meals, couple dates, group gatherings, and guests using wheelchairs or high chairs.
Bueokgan's menu and how table ordering works

Bueokgan uses table order. That day, we ordered three of Bueokgan's signature dishes.
- Arugula prosciutto pizza ₩24,000
- Pastry soup ₩10,000
- Shrimp rosé pasta ₩20,000
- Sprite ₩2,500

Once the table filled up, a gorgeous spread that was just happy to look at unfolded in front of us! 😍
Arugula prosciutto pizza, 24,000 won

On a light, wood-fired-style dough, fresh wild arugula is piled up like a mountain, topped with generous salty prosciutto and snowy shavings of parmesan. The fresh scent of the arugula and the flavor of the prosciutto strike a perfect balance.

Pastry soup, 10,000 won: the pumpkin soup that surprised us

This is the 'pastry soup,' where bread puffs up in the oven like a mushroom cap over the soup bowl. Gently tap the center of the bread with a spoon and crack it open, and out comes a thick, smooth, steaming sweet pumpkin soup.

Dipping the crispy pastry into the soup is absolutely delicious.
Shrimp Toowoomba pasta at Bueokgan

Piled with plump shrimp, the spicy yet nutty cream sauce soaks well into the noodles. Wound around a fork, the springy texture of the shrimp and the spicy flavor of the sauce come together perfectly.

The deep pink pickles, crunchy and bursting with sweet-and-sour juice, cleanse the palate right when it starts to feel a little greasy.

A meal that needed no more explanation — the kind of empty-plate spot where the dishes speak for themselves.
Is Bueokgan worth a stop? Final verdict
Atmospheric interior: the vintage wood tones and classic props come together so that the moment you walk in, it feels like stepping into a small, romantic trattoria in Europe.
Thoughtfully made menu: using fresh seasonal ingredients, the restaurant offers a solid, varied lineup from authentic pasta and deep-flavored risotto to crispy, light pizza.
A space for special moments: it suits a date with a partner, a gathering with friends, or any occasion that calls for a meal with some real atmosphere.
Getting to enjoy shopping alongside good food and atmosphere at a European-style restaurant made for a satisfying time. With flavor, mood, and friendly service all covered, I'd love to come back here on my next outlet visit. If you're heading to Shinsegae Premium Outlets Busan in Gijang, I hope you'll enjoy a lovely, happy meal with family or a partner at Bueokgan, a great Western restaurant in Busan!
