Beomil-dong, Busan beef BBQ date with shishito peppers: Hanuso
In short
Hanuso Dwitgogi Beomil Branch is a hanwoo (Korean beef) dwitgogi BBQ restaurant in Beomil-dong, Dong-gu, Busan. The writer booked a table for two with a partner, ordered 3 servings of hanwoo dwitgogi (14,900 won per serving), seafood doenjang stew and soju, and enjoyed the free yukhoe (beef tartare) for reservations, the complimentary beef seaweed soup and the hanwoo dwitgogi grilled with shishito peppers. The rice had a slightly scorched smell, but with plenty of private rooms, Hanuso Dwitgogi is a solid Beomil-dong beef spot for both team dinners and a meal for two.

What is Hanuso Dwitgogi like?
Hanuso Dwitgogi Beomil Branch (하누소뒷고기 범일점) is a hanwoo dwitgogi specialist known for its beef in Beomil-dong. I went with my partner for beef after a long while! From the name alone I assumed it was pork dwitgogi, so when I found out it's a hanwoo (Korean beef) dwitgogi place I got curious and had to visit, haha.
There were tons of private rooms, and plenty of groups were having team dinners. If you're looking for a BBQ place in Beomil-dong, it seemed like a good spot for a company dinner too!
Hanuso Dwitgogi Beomil Branch hours and parking
The restaurant is open daily from 16:00 to 23:00, with last order at 22:00. Parking is available: ₩3,000 for the first 60 minutes, ₩3,000 for each additional 60 minutes, and a maximum of ₩20,000.
We took the subway so we didn't park, but I hope this helps!
Team-dinner vibes from the outside: so many rooms
A sign outside said group orders were available, so we went in, and there really were a lot of rooms. Quite a few office dinner groups were there, and it looked great for eating privately. They also have good-value set menus, so if you come with a bigger group, a set might be a good idea!

What's it like with a reservation?
Maybe because we booked ahead, the table was already all set and we could start eating comfortably! The meat is grilled over corn-kernel fire (corn-based charcoal), and maybe that's why it tasted extra nutty.

What we ordered for two, and prices
The two of us ordered 3 servings of hanwoo dwitgogi, plus rice, seafood doenjang (soybean paste) stew and soju.
- Hanwoo dwitgogi, 3 servings (₩14,900 × 3)
- 2 bowls of rice
- Seafood doenjang stew ₩5,000
- Soju ₩5,000

The free reservation yukhoe... wow
Because we reserved, they gave us a tasting portion of yukhoe (seasoned raw beef), and... it was SO good, T_T It had no frozen feel at all, no gamey smell, just really fresh yukhoe. Great quality for something that's a freebie.

The side dishes aren't a self-serve bar
I thought the side dishes were a self-serve bar and went to grab some, lol, but you just ask the staff and they bring them, which was a little embarrassing 🤣 With so many rooms, I could see why it's so popular for team dinners!!

Default beef seaweed soup vs. seafood doenjang stew
The beef seaweed soup (miyeok-guk) that comes by default is packed with beef, lol. The two of us could have filled up just fishing out the meat! Maybe thanks to the garlic, there was no gamey smell at all, and it was really good.
The seafood doenjang stew has a cheonggukjang (strong fermented soybean) kind of vibe! Personally I preferred the seaweed soup, while my partner said the doenjang stew was better. Totally a matter of taste. My partner practically inhaled it.

How does the hanwoo dwitgogi taste?
I expected a special-cut kind of texture, but the moment it hit my mouth it was simply tender beef. When the meat arrives, a staff member grinds pepper over it right in front of you, which is a fun little performance, haha.
And... the color of the meat is crazy good. I thought it would be a special cut like pork dwitgogi, but it was just tender beef the second I bit in... so delicious T_T I especially recommend grilling it with padron-style peppers (kkwari-gochu)!! They go together much better than you'd think.

Best wrapped in pickled perilla leaf; the rice was a bit disappointing
Personally, my favorite way to eat the hanwoo dwitgogi was wrapped in a side dish that seemed like pickled perilla leaves (?). The rice had a slightly scorched smell, but it didn't bother me much, and apart from that I was satisfied overall! It was the kind of food you keep reaching for, haha.

Overall verdict on Hanuso Dwitgogi Beomil Branch
- Lots of rooms, so great for team dinners
- Reserve to get the free yukhoe
- My first time trying hanwoo dwitgogi, and it was far better than expected
- The combo with padron-style peppers is highly recommended
- The seaweed soup is genuinely high quality
If you're looking for a lunch or dinner group spot, a BBQ place, or a great beef restaurant in Beomil-dong, Hanuso Dwitgogi is worth a visit!
They also sell Hanuso infused liquor (damgeumju)!
