Dessert café near Jeonpo Station, Busan for tiramisu cream pie: Hippy

Hi everyone~ it's been ages, but I finally went back to Hippy, the Jeonpo café famous for dessert pies! It's honestly way too hot to go anywhere lately, but a girl's gotta eat something delicious, so off I went. Today I'm giving you my honest review of Hippy~~

Hippy's location, hours, and parking

Hippy is a Jeonpo café located at 12 Dongseong-ro 25beon-gil, Busanjin-gu, Busan, about a five-minute walk from Jeonpo Station haha. Hours are 11am to 10pm (last order 9:30pm), open year-round, and no parking available.

The sign for Hippy isn't very big so I wandered around right in front of it lol,, if you check the photos you'll find it right away though

I'd seen their cream pies mentioned before on other blogs and Instagram and kept meaning to order them, but ended up coming in person instead. The exterior already has such a good vibe going on,,

Hippy's interior and seating

Inside, Hippy has a calm wood-toned atmosphere, with a spacious layout and generous spacing between tables. The overall mood and interior decor items are so on-point, I ended up spending a few minutes just looking around instead of grabbing a seat lol I still needed to sit down though ㅠ

Hippy is a specialty shop for cream pies and bread pudding, and apparently they make and sell everything same-day!

I went around 3:30pm on a weekday and there were more customers than I expected, so I wasn't able to get great interior shots, but it had that calm wood-toned feel 😁 The space is spacious with wide table spacing so chatting wasn't uncomfortable at all!

What I ordered at Hippy and the prices

At Hippy I ordered an iced americano (₩5,000), a matcha Hippy latte (₩7,000), and a tiramisu cream pie (₩8,000). I sat down right away and went up to pick a menu — there was a cute doll next to the menu board ㅠㅠ Iced americano is a must with dessert, and as a matcha fanatic I couldn't just walk past the matcha Hippy latte (couldn't skip the signature item)! I honestly wanted to eat every single dessert, but because of my wallet situation I settled on the tiramisu cream pie.

Even though it was only 3:30pm... there were only two precious tiramisu pies left,, but there were tons of other delicious-looking things too. Looking through blog posts, the sweet corn, basil tomato, and fig pies also seem really popular.

Look at all these gorgeous ones!_! Next time I'll try one of each kind -! I went with tiramisu this time, but the carrot, lemon, basil tomato, and Dubai pies kept catching my eye... Also, I think Hippy's pies would make a great gift too. Rather than just gifting a plain cake, I feel like giving one of these Hippy pies would get you praised for having good taste.

How was the tiramisu pie and the matcha Hippy latte?

Hippy is a café where both the dessert and the coffee were delicious. Wow, looking back at these photos makes me want it again,,, the desserts are genuinely great but the coffee is just as good.. A lot of places with amazing desserts have mediocre coffee, so

• it's rare to find a place where that's not the case
• cafés in Jeonpo keep closing down lately, but this one absolutely cannot close

Seriously, the coffee, the drinks, the pie — all insanely good. The matcha latte had something inside that I couldn't quite identify, but it added an extra layer of matcha flavor, and even though I ordered the iced americano, my hand kept reaching for the matcha latte lol

Can you see how gorgeous this tiramisu pie looks.. This is the kind of tiramisu pie that instantly lifts your mood whether you're having a bad day or a good one........... Packed with cream and cocoa powder, one bite is basically a coffee transfusion and a flavor party in your mouth — it was so good I demolished it in under five minutes ㅠ

Who should visit Hippy

Hippy is a Jeonpo dessert café that's good to visit alone, on a date, or with friends. I feel like this place would be even better at night, so I'm planning to come back at night too haha. Good taste, good vibes, a friendly owner, and instant healing — give this Jeonpo café Hippy a try~~
