Why we went for after-work pizza and beer at Eopija near Yeomchang Station
After work, I wanted to wash away the day's fatigue with a cold draft beer and good pizza, so I headed with a junior from my neighborhood to Eopija (어피자), a Yeomchang Station pub with a growing reputation.

When the evening breeze turns cool, the combo of crispy, freshly baked pizza and a cold beer becomes irresistible. Eopija is well talked about around Yeomchang Station and Mokdong for its food and mood, so I didn't hesitate to come.

Where do you park at Eopija?
The Mok 2-dong Wolchon public parking lot (목2동월촌 공영주차장) is right across from Eopija. Drivers can visit without worrying about parking, which looked really convenient.

Orange neon sign and a folding-door terrace outside
Walking into the alley, I was immediately drawn to the modern gray exterior, the orange UH PIZZA neon sign and the red awning terrace. The folding doors were wide open, so you can enjoy the cool night air, with an old-school outdoor feel. It had a proper neighborhood hangout vibe before we even went in.

What are Eopija's interior and seating like?
Inside, Eopija has a pub atmosphere with chandelier lighting, a display case of whiskey bottles and wide leather sofa seats. The interior was hipper and more stylish than I expected.
Sparkling chandeliers, soft wall lamps and shelves of whiskey and other bottles on the walls completed the upscale pub feel. A beam projector was playing videos on one wall, and the plush, wide leather sofas and roomy table layout stood out.
It's ideal for a relaxed drink with a friend or junior from the neighborhood, and it has room for groups, so it works well for a Yeomchang-dong company dinner or a small gathering too.

What we ordered: half Hawaiian, half potato pizza set and Kirin Ichiban draft
For our half-and-half pizza we chose Hawaiian and potato. After looking over the menu, we picked the combination so we could enjoy two flavors. We also ordered the set that comes with spicy cheese tteokbokki (rice cakes), crunchy nacho chips and a fresh salad, all piled on one plate and a great match for pizza.

For drinks we got Kirin Ichiban draft beer, the classic pizza-and-beer pairing, and a soda in an ice cup. The first sip, with its soft, dense foam and refreshing kick, blew away all the work stress built up over the day.

Soon a big round silver tray with a spectacular pizza set arrived at our table.

The large rectangular dough was packed edge to edge with toppings, and next to it came a stone-pot tteokbokki loaded with melted cheese, nachos drizzled with garlic sauce, fresh salad, garlic dipping sauce and pickles: a complete spread. Just looking at it made my mouth water.
Hawaiian pizza and potato pizza
Eopija's Hawaiian pizza is a sweet-and-salty combo of ham and plenty of pineapple on a thin, crispy crust. I picked up a golden slice of the Hawaiian first.
Sweet pineapple chunks were generously piled over salty ham and savory cheese, a textbook sweet-and-salty hit. The crust is thin and crispy, and the fresh juice bursting from the pineapple with each bite blended with the cheese flavor, so I couldn't stop exclaiming.
The potato pizza I tried next was topped with fluffy potato wedges, savory bacon and plenty of creamy mayo sauce, filling my mouth with rich, mellow savoriness. Living up to its reputation as a Mokdong pizza-and-beer spot, a sip of cold beer with each slice was pure healing.

Stone-pot cheese tteokbokki and nacho chips
The set's cheese tteokbokki is flour rice cakes in a stone pot topped with plenty of mozzarella, and it cut through the richness of the pizza. I tried it midway through the pizza: when I scooped up the golden-toasted mozzarella with a spoon, the cheese stretched out and the sweet-spicy sauce smell hit my nose.
The chewy rice cakes were soaked in a spicy, tangy sauce that freshly cleansed the greasiness of the pizza, a perfect supporting player. Dipping the crunchy nachos into the tteokbokki sauce or the garlic dip was fun too, and I couldn't stop until the last piece.

Overall verdict on Eopija near Yeomchang Station
With its stylish, cozy interior, hearty and good-value set menu, fresh, cold draft beer and friendly service, it was a flawless evening in every way.
If you want a pizza-and-beer night you can count on near Yeomchang Station or Mokdong, I strongly recommend Eopija.
