Weekday evening strawberry bingsu truck at Jamsil: Bingdongdaeng
In short
Bingdongdaeng Premium Bingsu Café is a yellow bingsu (Korean shaved ice) food truck in the food truck zone by Outfield Ticket Booth 1 at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Songpa, Seoul. Before a weekday evening game, Bingdongdaeng's strawberry bingsu cooled things down, followed by cream shrimp nachos, a bacon corn mayo hot dog and Belgian chili fries from the neighboring trucks. With the ballpark still hot at 6:30 pm in summer, Bingdongdaeng's strawberry bingsu was generous, refreshing and the best pick of the night.

What we ate at the food trucks on a weekday evening at Jamsil Baseball Stadium
At a weekday evening game at Jamsil Baseball Stadium, I ordered a whole range from the food truck zone: strawberry bingsu from Bingdongdaeng, plus a hot dog, fries and nachos. When you go to a ballpark, the food is almost as exciting as the game, right? I used to stick to fried chicken and burgers, but food trucks have gotten so varied lately that just browsing is fun.
This time I visited Bingdongdaeng, which is said to be popular in the Jamsil Baseball Stadium food truck zone. I cooled off with bingsu in the heat, then added a hot dog, fries and nachos, perfect ballpark snacks, and honestly I was more satisfied than I expected.

What's on the menu at the Bingdongdaeng food truck?

Bingdongdaeng is a yellow food truck selling snowflake bingsu, Choco Oreo bingsu, Nonsan strawberry frozen bingsu and frozen mango bingsu, plus slush and tteokbokki. The food truck zone is packed with people even before the game starts, and the yellow Bingdongdaeng truck stands out from far away. Bingsu that looks cool just by looking at it, slush, tteokbokki: plenty to enjoy.
Every bingsu on the menu sounds delicious. The tteokbokki was sold out, which was such a shame.

Bingdongdaeng strawberry bingsu: how are the portion and taste for ballpark bingsu?
Bingdongdaeng's strawberry bingsu had generous strawberry topping and a big portion, just right for cooling down before the game. It really felt like summer had arrived: the sun was blazing, and even after 6:30 pm it was hot. I sat down and went straight for the bingsu, and I thought, this is the best order ever.

It was a pretty hot day, and the generous strawberry topping on cold ice looked refreshing just to look at. At the first bite, the sweet strawberry flavor went really well with the soft ice. I hadn't expected much from ballpark bingsu, but the portion was generous and it was so cooling that I was satisfied.
It was the perfect order for cooling off before the game. The strawberries were sweet too, so good!

Station Nacho next to Bingdongdaeng: how does the cream shrimp nacho taste?

Station Nacho is the food truck right next to Bingdongdaeng, where you can get gonsami and cream shrimp. There was a bit of a wait.

Station Nacho's cream shrimp has cream sauce and shrimp topping on crunchy nachos, and it caught my eye from the looks alone. The rich cream sauce and crunchy nachos went together better than I expected, and there was plenty of shrimp. Doesn't it look amazing?

It's cream shrimp, but the cream is spicy, so it wasn't heavy at all and was so good. The shrimp were plump too; great looks and great taste. With nachos underneath, it's ideal to enjoy while watching a baseball game.
It also felt freshly fried and piping hot, which made it even better. I think it would have been less tasty if it had gone cold; the coating was crunchy without a trace of sogginess.

Ippeun Yeou Hot Dog: bacon corn mayo hot dog and Belgian chili fries

The Ippeun Yeou Hot Dog food truck offers a variety of hot dogs, fries, shakes and set menus. They hand your order over quickly, so it was ideal for grabbing takeout before the game.

The tastiest item: the bacon corn mayo hot dog
Personally, the thing I enjoyed most that day was Ippeun Yeou Hot Dog's bacon corn mayo hot dog. Corn mayo and bacon were piled generously on the sausage, so it looked appetizing right away.
The packaging was neat too. They even slipped in plastic gloves in case it was hard to eat, such a thoughtful touch. I loved it.

From the first bite, I could taste the savory corn mayo and salty bacon. The bun was soft and the sausage had a great texture, so it was a really satisfying ballpark snack. The flavor is one kids would like too, so I'd recommend it to families.
That sweet-and-salty, savory flavor was so good, and the sausage quality was great too.

Belgian chili fries: a beer snack that's great to share
I tried Ippeun Yeou Hot Dog's Belgian chili fries too. Chili sauce was piled generously on top of the fries, and it made my mouth water just looking at it.

The fries were crunchy outside and moist inside, and with the sweet and spicy chili sauce you keep reaching for more. They're great to share with a group. I thought these would really be perfect with beer.
