Bakery café in Yangju I went back to for roll cheese ciabatta: Doasis
In short
Doasis (도아시스) is a large bakery, brunch and botanical-garden café in a renovated bathhouse building on Hwahap-ro 1402beon-gil in Yangju, Gyeonggi. On a café date with Mom at Doasis, the writer had basil tomato bread and an iced Americano, ordered a crimson punch for Mom, who can't drink coffee, and took home breads including corn campagne and roll cheese ciabatta. The verdict: the Doasis bakery was so satisfying that the writer returned just to buy bread.

What kind of café is Doasis in Yangju?
Doasis is a large bakery, brunch and indoor-garden café in Yangju. I went on a weekday, so only the 2nd floor was open.

This was a café date with Mom at Doasis, a big café in Yangju! The huge space was nice, but what stuck with me was the bread. We picked bread to eat at the café and bread to take home, and the takeaway bread was seriously good too. In the end I went back again just to buy bread, haha. I went to relax at a café and ended up finding bread I want to eat again, haha

Doasis hours, parking and floors
- Parking: large private lot
- Hours: daily 10:00–23:00
- Floors: 3rd floor open until 21:00
- Last order: 2nd floor 22:00
- Note: leftover bread can be packed up by yourself
Doasis doesn't only sell bread, it also has a brunch menu. From the brunch plate to pizza, pasta and salad, it looks like a good place to come for a meal too.
Why are there bathhouse signs inside Doasis?
Doasis is said to be a café remodeled from a former bathhouse building. That's why the signs for the "cold bath" and "hot bath" are still inside the café!

The name is short for "an oasis in the city" (도심 속 오아시스), so Doasis! Once I knew that, the name was easier to remember. With all kinds of plants indoors, it also felt like an indoor botanical garden. The wide space mixed with green plants felt open rather than stuffy! Relaxing with a drink with Mom was nice, and walking around to look at the space was an extra bonus, haha
What is the seating like at Doasis?
Doasis runs across the 2nd and 3rd floors, and each area has a different sofa and table layout, so every spot has its own feel. There are even seats by the stairs going up.

They didn't just pile in tables; each area arranges sofas and tables differently, so each seat felt different. It's fun to walk around and pick where to sit. There's a spot that's a bit like a wedding hall, a romantic floor-seating spot, and a seat on the stairs with a wide-open view!

Big and full of plants, it's a café with things to look at! If you're after a large café in Yangju where you can relax with Mom, a space like this seemed like a good fit.
6 breads I picked at Doasis
From the Doasis display I picked corn campagne (country-style sourdough), roll cheese ciabatta, walnut loaf, New Yorker sausage bread, basil tomato bread and cream cheese bread. There were so many breads I wanted to try.

So here's what I picked that day!
- Corn campagne
- Roll cheese ciabatta
- Walnut loaf
- New Yorker sausage bread
- Basil tomato bread
- Cream cheese bread
Writing it out, that's quite a lot, haha. The ones highlighted in pink mean seriously delicious..

At the café I ate the basil tomato bread and took the rest home. For drinks I ordered an iced Americano and a hot crimson punch. Lots of bread types is fun when you're browsing, but in the end taste is what matters, right? Thankfully!! The bread I picked was so good that I'd call it a real bakery gem!

Doasis bread recommendations: corn campagne and roll cheese ciabatta
The breads I most want to recommend at Doasis are the corn campagne and the roll cheese ciabatta! I took both home and ate them there, and they were so good that they stayed with me.

Even when you bring home many kinds, the ones you want to buy again usually narrow down to a few, right? These two were exactly that for me. I think I'd pick them again next time, haha. If you're looking for a bakery café in Yangju and visit Doasis for the first time, start with these two!
The New Yorker sausage bread was also hard to walk past, packed full of sausage. It looked like it couldn't possibly be bad, so I grabbed it on sight, haha
I liked the bakery so much that I went back after the café visit just to buy bread. Even if I don't have time to sit in the café, I'd want to stop by for bread to go.
What can you drink at Doasis if you can't have coffee?
Mom can't drink coffee, so she ordered the crimson punch, a caffeine-free herbal tea, hot. It was an herbal tea that reminded me of hibiscus, and Mom said it was tangy and sweet and went well with the bread.

I always pick an iced Americano at cafés, but Mom looks at non-coffee menu items. So when we go together, it's extra nice if she finds a drink she likes, haha. If you're with someone who can't have coffee, check out the crimson punch.
Can you pack leftover bread at Doasis?
Doasis has a self-packing area on one side, so you can pack leftover bread yourself. Packing bags, plastic gloves and paper bags were all prepared.

When you pick lots of bread, you worry about not finishing it, right? Being able to pack up what's left yourself is so convenient! We only ate the basil tomato bread and packed the rest, and I liked that this space exists. Even if you can't finish everything at once, you can just eat it at home, haha

Is parking easy at Doasis?
Doasis has a large private parking lot, so it was easy to come by car. When going to a café with Mom I also pay attention to parking, and I liked that Doasis's lot is spacious.

Why I went back to Doasis in Yangju
Doasis is spacious and each spot has a different mood, so it was great for a café date. Looking around the plant-filled interior and chatting with Mom over drinks was fun too, haha. But the reason I went back is, of course, that the bread was delicious! I'll especially buy the corn campagne and roll cheese ciabatta again. If you want a big café and care about the bakery too, I recommend Doasis in Yangju!
