Beyond that, there's a croquette filled with Sokcho squid sundae (blood sausage), one packed with fiery meat jjamppong, a soft and savory pollack roe cream croquette, one made with Chinese-style gochu japchae (stir-fried peppers), and even a pizza-flavored potato croquette made with Gangwon-do potatoes — so many delicious flavors packed in ~~~ ♥️

As a shop that makes croquettes by hand every single day, they were constantly making more — instead of stacking up a huge batch, they sell them as soon as they're made, so you get to eat extra crisp, warm croquettes. That's what made this such a great Sokcho croquette spot.

Tasting the six flavors in the box

A happy time eating all the Sokcho Jungang Market food comfortably back at the accommodation ☺️ I couldn't give up on any of the six flavors, so I brought home a full 6-piece box ^^ Every flavor had such a strong personality that it was genuinely hard to choose haha

Each croquette had a flavor sticker attached, which made it easy to know and enjoy the different varieties. Maybe because they were freshly made, the croquette shell wasn't dry at all — it felt crisp yet chewy at the same time ~ Truly a great Sokcho croquette shop! Even the outer crust was delicious.

The reason I recommend this as a hearty food option in Sokcho Jungang Market is the generous filling inside! Even eating just one was satisfying thanks to the substantial filling, making it a great snack :)

Personally, the meat-packed jjamppong croquette was my number one — spicy with a smoky char, and the chewy ingredients inside made it delicious. Even though it's fried, it wasn't greasy or heavy at all. Ha.
