Hi, it's Yudongi 🤤 On a weekend evening, my whole family headed out to Pangyo for dinner and we ended up at Katsu Shokudo Pangyo Main Branch. It's right near Pangyo Station and close to Hyundai Department Store Pangyo, so it's a great spot to eat and then stop by the department store. We did exactly that after dinner hahaha.
This time we ordered the ₩35,000 set for two, which lets you try Katsu Shokudo's bestsellers all at once! It comes with both loin katsu and fillet katsu, plus mini soba, mini udon and mini curry — perfect for first-time visitors.
Where is Katsu Shokudo Pangyo Main Branch, and what about parking?

Katsu Shokudo Pangyo Main Branch is a short walk from Pangyo Station exit 3, located in the basement level of Alphadom Tower 3. It's in an underground mall, but the sign is easy to spot so we found it without any trouble. If you drive, you can use the Alphadom Tower parking lot, and registering after the meal gets you up to 3 hours free.
It's a convenient route for eating in Pangyo and then browsing Hyundai Department Store together. After parking at Alphadom and stopping by Hyundai, we even got a ₩5,000 coupon usable at Bezlie, so we ended up with a meal and some bread haha 🔥

We visited on a weekend evening, but since this place is famous among Pangyo office workers, weekday lunches must be much busier. On a weekend evening it wasn't too hectic and had a comfortable vibe for a family meal.

Free parking is available for up to 3 hours too!! 🧡 Just register it yourself 🧡
Interior and seating

Katsu Shokudo Pangyo Main Branch has quite a lot of seating stretching toward the back, so it didn't feel cramped — seemed like a good fit for everything from solo diners to family outings. The tables came with salt, tonkatsu sauce and wet wipes as standard, and they even had hair ties set aside, which was a nice touch.

And there were plenty of baby chairs on hand, so families with little ones can visit without worry haha.
The ₩35,000 set for two

What we ordered was the ₩35,000 set for two. Here's what came with it.
- Loin katsu
- Mini soba
- Mini curry
- Fillet katsu
- Mini udon
- Mini curry
This set lets you taste Katsu Shokudo's popular menu items all at once, so it's great if you can't decide between loin and fillet. Since we were eating with our kid and wanted a bit more broth, we added udon on top...🍜
How did the loin katsu and fillet katsu taste?

First, the loin katsu was crispy outside and juicy inside. Katsu Shokudo apparently uses a patented yuzu low-temperature aging method for the meat, and tasting it, I was surprised to notice a subtle yuzu aroma in the tonkatsu. 🍊 The scent wasn't too strong or artificial, just enough to cut through the richness a bit, making it easy to enjoy without feeling heavy.

Dipped in tonkatsu sauce it has that familiar sweet-savory taste, and dipped lightly in salt you can taste the meat and the yuzu aroma even more clearly!

The mini soba that came with the set was cold and refreshing, perfect for cleansing the palate between bites of tonkatsu. Eating only tonkatsu can get a little heavy, but sipping the cold soba broth now and then made me want to dig back into the katsu haha.

The udon had a warm, mild broth that was great to share with the kid. We ordered udon as an add-on, and if you're visiting as a family on a weekend evening, adding an extra udon is definitely worth it. The katsu-and-soba combo is nice, but having a warm broth too made the meal feel so much heartier... 🔥🔥
The fillet katsu had less fat than the loin and was much lighter overall. ✨ It wasn't dry inside — nice and tender — which made it easy to eat with the kid, and if you like clean, light tonkatsu, you'll probably prefer 🔥the fillet katsu.🔥 I liked the nutty richness of the loin, but the fillet was surprisingly moist, so switching between the two was fun.

A mini curry comes with each katsu
One thing that sets this place apart from other tonkatsu spots! Mini curry comes with the set too~~! Both the loin katsu and fillet katsu each came with their own mini curry, so within one set meal we could enjoy it several different ways. We started with salt and sauce, then switched to curry partway through.
The curry wasn't too spicy or heavy on spices, so it was an easy flavor for anyone to enjoy, and dipping the tonkatsu lightly into the curry made it feel like a whole different dish. With just one set for two, we got to eat katsu, soba, udon and curry — the composition was definitely solid. 👍🏻

If you're not a fan of richer, fattier food, or you're eating with a kid, the fillet katsu will probably suit you better. Dipped lightly in salt, the meat's flavor comes through cleanly, and it was also tasty paired with the mini curry haha.

Why it was a good spot to visit with a baby
Katsu Shokudo Pangyo Main Branch has baby chairs ready and the interior is fairly spacious, so it was comfortable to sit with our child. With softer options like the fillet katsu, plus the mild udon and mini curry, it was easy to share with the kid.
We added an extra udon, and having warm broth and noodles made it much easier to take care of our kid's meal too. With 3 hours of parking support, it was also a low-stress restaurant to visit with a stroller or all the baby gear.

It's close to Pangyo Station and offers 3 hours of free parking, so it's easy to get to, and it's also convenient to continue on to Hyundai Department Store Pangyo after eating. If you're planning a weekend family meal in Pangyo or looking for a course that pairs with Hyundai, this place is worth a visit ➰
