Today I want to give you an honest review of a really hot dessert spot near Jeongja Station: Butter & Shelter Bundang Jeongja. The original store is in Yeonnam-dong, so I used to have to travel over an hour to get there, but now that they've opened in Jeongja-dong, I find myself going often haha 😊

Is there anyone who doesn't know about Butter & Shelter's famous butter sand cookies? Haha. I first tried them when a friend gave me some as a gift, and I was blown away! As someone who loves the combo of sweet desserts and fragrant coffee, this visit exceeded my expectations. Where is Butter & Shelter Bundang Jeongja, and what is the café like?

Butter & Shelter Bundang Jeongja is located not far from Jeongja Station, so accessibility was really good. Even the exterior had such a moody, atmospheric feel that my expectations were already rising just standing at the entrance.

The moment I stepped inside, a savory butter aroma greeted me. The interior overall has a warm, cozy feel, making it a great spot for chatting with a friend or a date with a partner.

The first thing I was curious about was the butter rice cake! The name alone was so unusual I couldn't not order it. The chewiness of the rice cake meets the richness of butter for a truly distinctive texture. It's a savory, sweet taste I haven't found anywhere else — definitely the signature menu item here.

To think you can find the trendy Dubai chocolate-style dessert here too! The Dubai chewy cookie really lived up to its name with that irresistible chewy texture. Sweetness spreads through your whole mouth, and paired with coffee it's a match made in heaven.

The crème brûlée butter sand had such an appealing texture — the sugar coating on the outside cracks crisply. The harmony between that and the soft butter filling inside felt so refined; you could really feel the care put into just one dessert.

The crème brûlée espresso was overwhelming just to look at. With sweet cream and a sugar layer on top of the bitter espresso, every sip felt like the flavor deepened!

The butter schümli I ordered alongside it made me instantly understand why the place is named Butter & Shelter. The cream was so smooth, with a subtle savory butter aroma spreading through it — a perfectly balanced drink that never felt heavy even paired with sweet desserts.

Looking at this whole spread laid out, it was truly a happy dessert time. I doubt there's another place near Jeongja Station where you can enjoy such high-quality desserts. There were so many photo zones throughout the store, great for snapping pretty pictures, and the friendly staff made the whole visit a pleasant one.
